Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
There was nothing better then cranking some music and then flying low over the hills in the helicopter during a multiplayer match.
Hell yes. Back before Family Guy raped it, Surfin' Bird was actually thought of fondly because it reminded me of flyin around in a Loach or Huey.
Erm...you do get to be the Germans in Call of Duty: World at War...
I still think World War II is interesting enough as a setting for games.
You don't see me complaining at the same fantasy world every JRPG takes place in.
yeah
Even so, a Vietnam game would be pretty great, if you think about how deep the story could be (the fact that people didn't know whether to support the war or not), how interesting the gameplay could be (napalm!), and what kind of experience you'd get (a strong sense of paranoia). I played a Nam game a while back, it was pretty gruesome. Maybe people don't make these games because there would be outcry from people who were in the war who are bitter.
Or maybe this is what Infinity Ward is coming out with next year. WHO KNOWS, CAUSE I DONT
I hope to see a truely great Name game soon.
