I think Sonic is getting a Bad Rap these days. YES I admit Non hand held entries to the series have been good and the well reviweed handheld gamea save for advance and Rush have been alright to me (Rivals flat out sucks)

In moving with my theory that you don't earn good reviews YOU BUY THEM. (so in a recession I think we can expect bad game reviews alot)

But some Sonic games just didn't deserve the bad reviews they got. And these are those Games



Shadow the hedgehog

Ok like most of these sonic games I won't pretend to say Shadow or any post Adventure 2 Sonic game is amazing or a feat of level design.

Because they aren't Shadow is what it is. An enjoyable platformer of Sonic's slightly Emo counter part. The Levels are interesting the brancing story path adds replayability and the music is something that most Sonic games don't have.......it's good. Sure he has Guns, Sure he has vehicles but So what? they worked I felt Shadow played alittle too floaty in Adventure 2. So they tried something different and it worked.

Is this the best platformer ever made? No is it a 5 or lower NO. Shadow is a good solid 7 or 8. It's not perfect but it's not total suck and it's slightly better than Sonic Heroes.


Sonic 3d Blast

This one is more flawed than Shadow. But Traveler's Tales who would later go on to do the lego games well this was their only half way decent game.

This was a response to Donkey Kong Country and it was for better or worse a good response and considering it was a Genesis game it was quite good. Now d-pad controlling doesn't work but once this hit sonic collections it showed it aged well.

Now again it is not perfect it's it can be alittle confusing and the music isn't up to Sonic Standards and I might go so far to say it was a little ahead of it's time. That said. It's decent. in short bursts but play the collection version.


Knuckles Chaotix

The first real sonic game that wasn't really sonic. Ok there's spinball which does indeed suck but Knuckles first and only game. It was fun. It was differet and it was enjoyable. It was also one of may 6 32 X games that are playable.


Now as far as unleashed....it's the same deal but I need to play more of it to really ask....Did Sega's Check not clear on Good Unleashed reviews?
