I got most of the game done before I even got my George Harrison Gretsch Duo-Jet Guitar. No problem Most of the songs I only 3 starred anyway or out right failed.
For those looking for an authentic I'm in the beatles experences...well.......
You will and you won't find it here. Here are my gripes/inaccuracies-
- No Cartoon Eric Clapton on While my guitar gently weeps (though the arguement can be made that the player on guitar is in the clapton role
-Billy Preston is absent from the background in Get back.
-The game goes in Album Order not record order so you play all the Abby Road songs before the Let it Be songs.
-As awesome as it is to make Within you without and Tomorrow never knows the same song, This was from the Beatles Love released 40 years after these songs were released (3something in the case of Tomorrow never Knows)
- By the white album the band is still on speaking terms and Yoko hasn't F'd things up.
-No references at all to India.
-I love George and all but the game is a bit heavy on George songs, Light on Lennon McCartney songs.
- Where in the Blue hell is Help?
-COME ON MAN Where are the Blue Meanies?
- No Free as a Bird? WHY?
-Some solo songs would be nice.
- They had the PERFECT chance to release stuff we'd never heard before instead we just get generic stuido banter. More takes from the Anthologies would have been awesome too.
Gripes aside you have an interactive not quite greatest hits collection Several of the greats are omitted while Abby Road, Rubber Soul and SGT pepper are on the way the remainder of their songs are up in the air. Then again, HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU EVEN APPROACH REVOLUTION 9? But I would like the White Album as DLC it is well represneted but it's IMO the Best of the Beatles together and on their own.
Unlike OTHER band only games coughguitarheroareosmithcoughguitarherometallicacough This is not what amounts to a sequel with one band dominating the set list and several "Guest" bands there. it's all Beatles. THE BEATLES ROCK BAND it's not Rock Band The Beatles. The Motif is Yellow Submarinish which is good, I can't think of it looking like anything else besides the awesome and franky amazing Anthlogy covers.
Just because you're playing ancient 40 year old+ songs doesn't mean this game is in anyway...EASY. By The End you will either be screaming "I'd like to thank you on behalf the group and I hope we passed the audition" Drummers WILL have a new found respect for Ringo.
Sure there are things I'd change, there are some graphical issues minor ones a sharp eye will only see, I would love to have more songs 45 is good but....MORE PLZ. Also solo songs would've been sweet unlockables, NO WINGS THOUGH....Wings EWWWWw. But Unlocking Lennon's Instant Karma or George's My Sweet Lord would've been a real treat
There maybe other things wrong but I can't see this game though the eyes of the normal gamer same with any music game I look at music games through the eyes and ears of a Music lover.
As a music lover and Beatles fan I LOVE THIS GAME. As far as the gamer.... the Gamer doesn't care, he's in the F'n Beatles.
I reccomend this. For Beatles fans or souless people who think it's cool to say the Beatles are overrated.
"D-toid doesn't deserve it but" - its ok man, this article's perfectly fine without that, ya know? Just sayin'
I haven't picked this up, but I'm still pretty excited about the whole thing. Sounds very diplomatically re-written. But, also sounds like a very solid total package.
I'm REALLY hoping for some Yesterday DLC. I'll probably break my frugal plan and score this once/if that comes out.
Hey man, nice rundown of the game, but you're starting off on a really sour note with that first sentence. Can you just let stuff slide instead of making it a focal point right off the bat?
I had basically no interest in this game for months, but I started getting the urge to play after hearing discussion on the Giant Bombcast. That, and I think the marketing campaign is starting to work its magic on me. Maybe I'll pick it up and put it up for trade on Goozex in a month or two.
Spellcheck and grammarcheck. Everyones told you to do it before. Seriously, you make some good points here, but they're buried under how poorly the article is written.
If you ever wonder why you get so much shit or get "trolled', it's because you don't put any real effort into your blogs, which you publish on such a frequent basis.
Oh, and Tubatic hit the nail on the head with his first sentence.
"I'm SO glad that he left after he realized that he shat on the community that reads his blogs"
Now I see this, and another quote that pokes fun at the community: that you courageosly took out, nontheless: very classy, Michi. Just like this one, right!
Once again, I hope that you'll realize maybe GameFAQs would like you more, and,
That was so damn retarded, I had to screencap that. You'll leave when your other blog gets readers? So you're trying to hold us for ransom or something? Just go. Publicize your shitty blog on other sites, we've all had enough of you. If your only motivation for being here is so that you can publicize your other blog, then just GTFO.
I don't want you to leave because you make crap blogs: I want you to leave because you constantly shit on us for having constructive opinions, and I don't think you understand the internet. Not everyone is going to agree with you at all times.
If its something concrete, I'd love to know how. I like numbers!
Do it for you and the people that are willing to read.
Not that anyone can really tell you what a good reason is, but if you're doing it just for hits, you're doing it wrong. Write well, hell, just write pasionately, and I'll read, for what that's worth, but don't let a lack of response make you do nonsensical things like writing somewhere that you don't want to until you get favorable attention, at which point, you'll leave.
Not to jump on your back or anything, honestly. But ... just don't make sense, man.
"-The game goes in Album Order not record order so you play all the Abby Road songs before the Let it Be songs."
The game follows what songs were played at the concerts that make up the levels of the game.
"-COME ON MAN Where are the Blue Meanies?"
The intro movie.
"- By the white album the band is still on speaking terms and Yoko hasn't F'd things up."
The game focuses on the positive aspects on their career and the joy their music brought to themselves and other people. Putting that in would bum everyne out, and Yoko wouldn't want that in there anyways, seeing as she oversaw the project.
"-As awesome as it is to make Within you without and Tomorrow never knows the same song, This was from the Beatles Love released 40 years after these songs were released (3something in the case of Tomorrow never Knows)"
Having just one of them would have been incredibly boring.
You were wrighting decent blogs for a while, sorry a few people here who got too butt-hurt over your old shitty blogs have made you bitter and have caused you to start acting like a childish cunt once again.
I like how you say this is a good band game since it isn't a main band with guest performers, like GH: Metallica, but it is all Beatles. But then you go on to say you would love to see some stuff when Lennon and Harrison went solo. Sure, Lennon and Harrison were part of The Beatles, but their solo stuff is not The Beatles.
Also, why are you complaining about Billy Preston not being in the game? I'm sure that if everything you complained about was in the game, you would still find something to complain about. This game is fucking amazing, and if you can't accept that, then don't play it. No one is forcing you to play it. Go back to playing Halo or Call of Duty.
BM they are minor complaints. So is the Eric Clapton gripe.
also DJP3DRO (sorry I called you an idiot before) I would exempt solo work And really I'm just thinking maybe 5 songs for Paul, John and George (face it ringo sucks when he isn't drumming.)

about me
it takes a few bad apples to spoil it for everyone.
I'm not abandoning my D-toid blog. However my more epic introspective articles will be at this address
http://oldschoolgaminglove.blogspot.com/
Epic articles go to that address,
Nonsense and Top ten lists as well as opinions on Currant gaming go here.
Reason: I'm sick of the Spam Comments I'm getting and good articles have been tainted by assholish comments over at my other blog I have more control over comments.

DLC, it means more music.

"D-toid doesn't deserve it but here it is anyway"
I stopped reading after this. Apparently I don't deserve to read your opinions.
Yeah, starting out saying the community doesn't deserve it isn't going to get people to read.
Can any one tell I'm really starting to hate it here?
I leave once my real blog gets some readers
Michi, I was JUST thinking today
"I'm SO glad that he left after he realized that he shat on the community that reads his blogs"
Now I see this, and another quote that pokes fun at the community: that you courageosly took out, nontheless: very classy, Michi. Just like this one, right!

You have a really shit attitude.
You're not going to get any friendly readers at any blog if you maintain such a shit attitude.
Shit.

Michi, just so you know:
I don't want you to leave because you make crap blogs: I want you to leave because you constantly shit on us for having constructive opinions, and I don't think you understand the internet. Not everyone is going to agree with you at all times.
How are you measuring readership?
If its by comments, that's not at all accurate.
If its something concrete, I'd love to know how. I like numbers!
Do it for you and the people that are willing to read.

I like games and waffles. How about you?
"I leave once my real blog gets some readers "
So that's never then?
ooooh your other blog...
But still. If you don't like it here, why stay?
Have you tried GiantBomb? They've got a really nice blogging tool suite, actually, and some nice exposure hooks.
I liek pizza.

UNTIL YOU CRITICIZE ME AGAIN, LOL
@Mag >3 >3 ?3 ?3
@Mush
I missed you <3
Can you please go away already?
I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock.
@Mag Back at you dude :)
Well, I thought George 's outfit was Indian enough :p
Look, can we just play some SF4 or HD Remix so you can shut up for another month?
Marvel VS Capcom 2
But I'm not putting anything up.
Don't have MvC2. Not a big fan of it, so I never bought it. I'm down for some Garou as well.
I'm only posting here to point out that not everyone who has an Okami-themed homepage is a complete idiot.
(If that was flaming I really don't care at this point.)
