5 games that need 3d remakes or sequels

Double Dragon

We haven't had a true double dragon sequel since return of Double Dragon on the SNES (AKA Double dragon 4) Double Dragon V does not count. Rage of the Dragons was a nice tribute but not a Double Dragon game. Double Dragon and Kunio Kun were pioneers of the beat em up genre and the first stage is a true gaming classic. When I open my garage door some times it pops in my head.

A 3d Double Dragon would work if kept simple It can be done Look at the Warriors

says more than any of my words could.

Atlus make it happen

Brazil got a remake of Double Dragon recently for their Zeebo console take a lookie

Good animation I gotta say

Streets of rage

Prototype footage of a Dreamcast version exists. Again like Double Dragon it works best if they keep it simple, A good idea of how this would turn out would be Spikeout and the highly underrated Fighting force series. Yuzo would have to do the music again too that's a must. The question remains is if Sega has the talent to do this right or not.

Strider

Strider can go a few ways. Ninja Gaiden style, new game HD style or a souped up remake of 2. Ninja games can go so many ways and Strider was an innovator of the Ninja Genre we now know as Real Ultimate power. Unlike Sega Capcom has the talent to pull off a good remake or sequel to Strider. Just a matter of when.

Darkstalkers

Pretty simple Street Fighter IV it or HD Remix it. It's a shame Capcom hasn't revisited Darkstalkers more. Personally I think they should do it Blaz Blue style. Much of the original Darkstalkers staff went to Ark System works It could be outsourced to them or Capcom can have the SF IV team do something. But Darkstalkers needs love.

Paperboy...SO MUCH could be done with this one.

I'll leave it up to you to figure out what could be done with Paperboy

I honestly would agree with you on pretty much all of your choices but seriously I'm kinda sceptic on these titles look what they have made with Turtles in Time. It's not too great...

I'm with Kraid, I think Turtles in Time temporarily killed classic remakes.

Yeah Seph, but that was Ubisoft being shit.

I think Capcom knows to not fuck up a remake(well a fighting game remake at least).

So Darkstalkers and Strider remakes are ok with me.

God I want more Darkstalkers BAD

Hey! You wrote something good.

Nice. I agree on Darkstalkers.

Streets of Rage was gonna be my nomination. Beat me to the punch!

Darkstalkers would be great, but I wouldn't want 3D... Also, where did you hear that most of the original staff went to Arc? I don't think that's accurate, Ishiwatari was ex-SNK and he was a big force for Arc's fighting stuff that resembles the DS/Vampire series.
Good choices overall though! I hope some come to fruition!

that double dragon remake for the zeebo actually looks pretty fun.... is it only on "zeebo"?

I have thought Strider Hiryu could take advantage of Ninja Gaiden's spotlight as well, but after what they let happen with Bionic Commando... I dunno.

Regarding Paperboy...

YES give us some nuuu Darkstalkers!!!

Yeah! My friend and I were playing Double Dragon II: The Revenge(NES) today and were actually talking about how this franchise needs the remake/sequel treatment.
If so, the game should be a cross between Double Dragon II and Double Dragon for the Genesis... Imagine that?! Amazing.
Do it. Do it.
Also, the theme music is so classic. Love it.

What the fuck is Zeebo?

Wikipedia's page on the Zeebo.

It kinda sounds like what would have happened to the Phantom if it had been released.

Also, there are people on the Capcom forums that have been trying to get Capcom to make a Darkstalkers HD remix, or release a new game. Can't remember which. Would be cool. I'd be fine with a remix released on XBLA and PSN.

I'd also like to see a new Wizards & Warriors. One of my favorite childhood games. It had two sequels; I played and beat the second, but kept going back to the first. I just found the third one, and still need to get around to playing it.

Double Dragon on SNES was awesome, but if there's a new one, I hope it'd play less like Warriors and more like God Hand.

I think a modern update of Paperboy is either the best or worst idea I ever heard. It could be terrible, or it could be unbelievably cool.

I'm always up for some Double Dragon Action. Good selection!

I agree with you dude. I am surprised there hasn't been a new paperboy on the Wii.
