Alright, so I "joined" destructoid sometime last year. I put say "joined" because I made one post and then never showed up again. That was a dick move, and I'm sorry. Dtoid has been my go to place for JOURNALISM for maybe three years now, and I'm ashamed for not having anything to contribute. But, I think I finally figured out what to post about.
It's time to do a senior project for my high school (Do other high shcools have them? I really have no clue), and I have decided to do it on, what else, video games! Originally, me and a friend were going to make a minature arcade cabinet using an NES as the guts, but we dropped that idea after we saw an article about the exact same thing posted here. So, having abandoned that idea, we parted ways. My next idea, and the one I am currently working on, was to have three separate components to my project. In no particular order they are: The postition of video games in the economy, games as art, and the rising popularity of casual games. The main thrust of the project is to show people, and when I say people, I mean people that don't play games, that video games are more than what they think. I am at one terrified and really excited to do this. I'm gonna try to make regular to semi-regular posts about this, while also trying to make normal c-blog posts. Alright, that's all I have. Bye!

Back!
Welcome back.
For the Project, maybe you can do something on the evolution of gaming...?
Also, I know that a lot of people like to go about making something for their Senior Project, you can (if your into RPGs) pick up RPG Maker 2003 (or whatever it's called now, i haven't used the program in forever) and make your own videogame.
If all else fails, i say stick with the NES Arcade cabinet. Even though it's already done, it'll still be cool to see one of those in Showcase (which you'll definitely make if you do it right and take your time). :)
Anyways, welcome to dtoid!
If that really is your picture...Hmmmm?
Welcome back!
