Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Oh, and here I thought I was the only one who could do that. I always figured it was a really embarrassing super power of some sort.

I'm so sorry,
Mr. Cripple,
But I just can't feel too bad for you right now!
Because I'm feeling
So insanely super
That even the fact that you can't walk
Can't bring me down!
South Park cares not for your "feelings."
I'm happy for you and happy for me and happy for the world that this is happening!
Happy. =)
In Capcom I trust!
I'm actually a little surprised, though. It seems a bit soon if you ask me. The 8-bit thing was cool at first, but wouldn't it make more sense to reboot the series at 8-bit, then advance it to 16-bit, then advance it to 32-bit again?
Honestly I'd rather they just took the time to release Mega Man 9 with all the downloadable content to some kind of physical form. I'd kill to have this shit on my DS. Would be a great time waster.
I can hear what you're saying. I'd go crazy for an up-Res reboot, with alot of new ideas.
But, sticking to the same style for so long gave this series alot of charm, imo. Nobody gushes about 4, 5, or 6, but the fact that they kept Mega Man in the same style, even back then, was... there was something really cool and smart about it, for me, at least. It deserves blogging when I get a chance.
This feels less like nostalgia mongering and more like expanding on a familiar gamespace.
So what's that fucking MM9 secret that nobody has found, Seth Killian?!
