No, nothing big, nothing fancy. Completely unexpected. But I feel like sharing!

Remember when I posted those photos of the derelict mall near my home? Well, the folks at U.S. News were assembling a photo collection of the most profitable malls as well as the most endangered malls in the country. The Palm Beach Mall was one of the ten endangered malls spotlighted and I was contacted to allow permission for the use of one of my photos.

Apparently, the staff at U.S. News are Destructoid readers. Who knew.

Anyway, the specific photo can be seen here. Check out some of the other malls as well. It's frightening stuff!

Congrats! Must feel great to get some mention in a major publication. Also a deserted mall is surprisingly depressing.

I thought the Palm Beach Mall was doing bad enough from the last time I read up on it. Then I looked up the other malls on that site, and found out that your mall has the highest sales per square foot. So a lot of malls are actually doing a lot worse than that one.

That is pretty terrifying.
