I've seen devices at walmart that allowed original xbox, gamecube, ps2, and psx controllers to be used on a pc. Maybe that was a long time ago.
no shit? go figure. seems kind of difficult to make an "all-in-one" adapter though.

Call me stupid, but I never even thought about the 360 controller being compatible for use with one's computer. I believe I may have thought about it when I first received my Xbox and noticed the controller was connected via USB.
Will it just work with no additional assembly required or is there some kind of special software you need to d/l before you use it?
Guys: The 360 controller is only good for playing console-style games on a PC, really. Like....Gears of War and shit.
As I'm sure you're all aware, the 360 controller sucks dick with 2D titles in general. So I wouldn't recommend it, although the analog stick could probably be used if you needed a controller immediately or something.
