After digging in my cellar i came across the jackpot of my youth, my old ps1 games. I had loads of games to satisfy my addiction to spending mixed with enjoyment. But everyone has a few games that touch them somehow, and for me most of those games are in this list. i still remember the day I bought my first RPG. The RPG in question is an easy choice of RPG fans to be in a top 10 list: Final fantasy VII. Now i pretty much collect any good rpg's I can find. It's hard because they are so loved around the world that people put ridiculous prices on their circular or plastic pieces of art. And I do not blame them they are pieces of art. Alot of people will say : "shadow of the colossus, ico, Okami, are art, and I agree but I think Rpg's are much more than art, They stretch the lengths of peoples imagination, they have the deepest stories imagined, and they fucking take 4 discs up and play for 40 hours. now enough talking about that now lets get to....... Oh and to make it clear, these are games I have played and it is not off some site or somewhere this is all my opinion. It would be unfair to put a game on not knowing it well

#8: POKEMON RED&BLUE

I remember the days, it so rocks.
Yep pokemon, the game that ruined peoples lives and enslaved them to buy useless cards(no one i know played the TCG ) but the game was an unique experience for me because it totally controlled me till i competed the story. and if you look past all the pokemons you can see that it is really a great game with pseudo boss fights and enough storie and creatures to keep everyones greedy hands satisfied. also, it was completely sold out in my country and was not to be found at all. The one thing I hate about this game? that it was fun, but now if I play it i cant stand it for more than 2 minutes, because there is pokemon : red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, pinball, stadium, stadium 2, snap, Pikachu Genki Dechu, Trading card game, puzzle challenge, crystal, ruby, sapphire, pinball ruby, pinball sapphire, pokemon channel, colloseum, fire red, leafgreen, dash, emerald, XD gale of darkness, trozei, mystery dungeon red rescue team, mystery dungeon blue rescue team, ranger, diamond, pearl and battle revolution.

Seiriously FUCK POKEMON red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, pinball, stadium, stadium 2, snap, Pikachu Genki Dechu, Trading card game, puzzle challenge, crystal, ruby, sapphire, pinball ruby, pinball sapphire, pokemon channel, colloseum, fire red, leafgreen, dash, emerald, XD gale of darkness, trozei, mystery dungeon red rescue team, mystery dungeon blue rescue team, ranger, diamond, pearl and battle revolution.

#7: Final Fantasy VIII

The first and not last final fantasy in this list and well deserved aswell. I seirously thought that this game was gonna be better that FFVII. Did you fucking see that opening scene? It rocked, you play squall, a resident at balamb square. this place is a school to be a SeeD, no not the car but a Elite mercenary, you see the cut scene well that is the beginning you wake up after the cut scene in a hopital bed with a nasty scar on ya face. you go to help some people meet bad guy and tadaa you got yourself a story. the game is the fastest selling FF game in the series and is the first to look like real life. the game does this well but as i said tI thought this was going to be the best game ever but there is a reason it isn't. I respect a hard game but I hate complication, but this game was too complicated for my 10 yo mind and that made it hard. and even know the junction looked real good in theory it was too hard and was pretty annoying. still the artwork and the story rocked and pulled me though most of the game. I stopped for a other game. one game that rocks anytime.

#6: Diablo II

Enough of the JRPG's time for a classic that is not affected by retro goggles at all. still played by loads of people diablo 2 is in my opinion the layer of ground for WoW, all the crappy spinoffs and should be remembered as the starter of all action rpg's cause it seiriously rocks. online is so fun and it made me buy the game twice. no strong story just a strong system and items make this game a classic which will probaly never be dropped from it's throne. blizzard are genius people.

#5: FF Tactics advance

This was a hard one for me to put in because I really hate this game. this is because i can't get past the last level. Seiriosly ive done more than a 100+ levels i think even twice that but the last level kills me. the game is ruthless i think 300 levels, and sometimes you feel helpless because it is totally turn based. it takes so long to make your characters stronger. but the game still rocks, from the cute snowball fight to the crazy magic the game really keeps you captivated. the reason that this game ain't higher is because i can't play this game longer than 1 hour because it gets boring after long plays. still the gameplay keeps me enough to put it this high.

#4: Suikoden II

Now that we are more than half way it's time to get to the important games right now.
I have personally never played suidoken 1. but ive only just played suidoken II on my psp and it kept me in it's grasp for long enough. this game is amazing and its a shame that the coolness of thsi game is diluted by the sequels, which i have heard are not so good, except for V which I've heard is a gem. but this game brings up a lot of snes graphics memory's with a touch of the good old 3d effects, abd a genius fugitive style story line makes this one of the best experiances ever made and belive it or not s the 2nd (and there are only 2) game to make me shed a tear. the game starts where you are in a good old teen training camp that gets suprise attacked by a other faction your country just signed a treaty with, because of this the people dont belive the other people attacked your camp, you run and find yourself trapped by your leader and the price of your country you jump in a river and land right in the place you dont want to be, the enemy. the enemy gives you choirs and food. one day you escape and go to your own town where you are nearly hanged for treason, by no one else than your leader. the part that killed meis when your friend returns home his father hates him and disowns him. where your bro says goodbye he says this "goodbye big brother, even tho now you are not my brother anymore. BROKE MY HEART.
The game rocks and if you can play it on your not emulator than do not if you get my drift.

#3: Chrono Cross

again a game I had to import and O was it worth it. the game just like chrono trigger puts you in two different times. and it totally rocks. even tho i havent played Chrono trigger yet. ive been told that this is very different than CT and I dont care the game is beautiful, and fun. also there are enough characters to have fun with. Ive clocked loads of hours in this game. and I dont regret it. the characters are designed by akira toriyama, and produced by hironobu sakaguchi. match in heaven? yep. even though alot of people lost faith in the game before release it so redeemed itself, the battle system was totally new to me and really felt good, you have stamina points and with these you can pretty much pull combo's off. also all the enemies are onscreen before battle so you can avoid them if you just want to speed through a part because you hate random battles. plz play this game.

#2: Final Fantasy VII

OMG WTF IS #1 THEN???????
Well I'll go there in a minute first the game regarded as the best game ever. And I agree it is a good game the story is great, you really get attached to the characters and the game has the most unique artstyle ever. It so rocks i can't belive square hasn't remade it to be put on ps3 with better graphics. I'm seirious when I say that I would buy a PS3 for this game alone. it has the best magic system in my mind. with sockets and orbs( materia)
and with amazing summons and nice backgrounds. even though the people had no fingers the game was so gooodddd. It is also the 1st game to make me shed a tear and people who have played the game and liked characters will know what i mean.

#1: I'M NOT TELLING YOU YET READ BELOW

Now time for my number one. now this list is based on what i have played and really liked and this game is on my top 10 favorite games of all time. alot of people dont like it but i think it is fabulous. Final Fantasy... ok that has narrowed it down to alot of games, The game is Final Fantasy IX now alot of people will dissagree with me on this but seriously don't be so harsh on this game, even tho it is not revolutionary, nor is it innovative. the game really touched me. it is a mix of all the good final fantasy games before it except maybe 8. it takes the best era and characters like vivi who is so adorable. and puts them in a save the princess and then the world scenario. and was so much fun i am on the first disc for the second time after completing it. it made Final fantasy funa and accessable without sacreficing all the good things taht were in the previos game but took all the good stuff and combined it into one 4 disc package that i have not forgotten. the game should be played and shouldn't be so crapeed down as teh worst of the 3 playstation Final fantasies.

Man that took a while put that is my list, please please tell me if there are any rpg's I should play that are not on this list.
