Quite a few updates since we last met. The most notable one is this promotional video.

If you've been fallowing the official site the video is basically showing a few of the screen shots finally in motion and a in depth look at the guild menu, but it's a step up from their first trailer.

There are a few new features here. You'll notice a few guilds that have a Friend Card. What this is exactly we'll have to wait and see, but if the five DSis appearing on screen beforehand is any indication you might be able to share something with other players.
There are listings on those same cards: Chart, Discovery, Adventure, etc. Depending on what these are could be very interesting.

You'll also notice a few territories you'll be exploring; the woods that we're familiar with from the previous games, but look carefully at the short montage at the end. Do we actually get to explore underwater? One area resembles the (very pretty, I think) Azure Rainforest in the first game and another area that looks like you might burn/boil in. You travel the land and sea fighting off creatures where ever these new territories are located.
Another tad-bit, there are ships much bigger than yours! Well, at least one, but it makes your ship look like a dingy.

All-in-all, it's shaping up to being another solid title in the Etrian series, but one thing in this video that's a little subtle, but I absolutely love - the background art. The landscapes are simply beautiful as they resemble one of the original Wonders of the World, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. In a way, Marble Garden Zone in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 resembles that place, too.
Thanks to video games we can kind-of-sort-of experience this curious place.

I just started EOII, it's a lot of fun, but really hard! The third looks fun though!
I can't wait for this. Hopefully Atlus comes through and translates this one too.
@Servbot #29: That's awesome to hear! The longer you stick with the game the pain steadily turns into pleasure ;-) Got to love the panda bears, too.

@Shawn: Atlus USA announced both EO titles very shortly after their Japanese releases, and we didn't have to wait close to even a year to play them. Hopefully, that will continue with EO3.
