In my previous post I began talking about my personal RPGQuest. I want to explain that I am not setting a time limit on this and indeed with the volume of games I have in front of me it may well take a year or more. But that's ok. The object here is the experience and enjoyment of these games and not some virtual badge of honor. I come late to this RPG Party. I am 32 years old and have for most of my life been an action/adventure fan with the occasional RPG thrown in for good measure. (And admittedly, most of those I did not finish).
It's only as I've gotten older that my taste in games has changed and Ive discovered after a long day at work I simply dont have the mental energy for many "twitch" type games. I still enjoy Unreal Tournament and Warhawk online and had a great time beating Ratchet and Clank, Half Life 2 EP2 and Uncharted. I'm not going to stop playing those type of games but I definitely feel the change to a slower, more tactical type of gameplay is the way to go. It has, in fact, already begun.
