Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But seriously, what didn't you like about it?
I'm on the edge, waiting to click "buy" because I'm an obsessed Turtles in Time fan.
Big Apple..3AM!
Truthfully, I'm the same way. I am a huge Turtles in Time fan. I loved it back in the grand ol' days on SNES and Arcade. However, this re-release lacks the excitement and charm of its predecessors.
The main reason why it disappoints is because this version doesn't justify the price tag. Yes, I'm aware of the price drop from 1200 to 800 MS Points, but even still, the game lacks the "wow" and fun factors of the previous versions. You are basically paying for the luxury of 4-player online co-op and the achievements. Other than that, it's not much else.
Cherish those fun times you had with the game in the past, but you are probably better off not paying for this version. Try the demo to satisfy your curiosity.
I hear ya. [url=http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/teenagemutantninjaturtlesturtlesintimereshelled?q=Turtles%20in%20Time]The reviews are unbelievably polarizing.[.url]
It's either
"Get it it's nostalgic"
or
"Download the ROM and save 10 bux"
Horrible!
Here!
LEAVE MOLYNEUX ALONE!
lol
I'm on the fence too. I like shiny old things, but I really need to stop investing in moon money...
I believe this game is going to be like the new Bionic Commando, I didn't get to play that game when it was first released, only I got to hear people rip it to shreds. Then when I finally played the game, a few months later, it surprisingly super-exceeded my low expectations. I now own Bionic Commando and love it.
We'll see if that holds true for Turtles that go back in time. Hmmm...
I played the demo and now I'm thinking maybe no.
I might just to play with my bros like old times.
