Total Amount Raised: $6,384.16
You guys are amazing!!!!

Extra Life's 24 hour marathon will be happening today. We've already raised $500 for children's charities during G3, and this community can do so much more. Last year we raised $6,000 for this event and I know we can surpass that. Destructoid has prepared a mountain of prizes for the event with the help of so many companies. Thanks to the large number of participants, we are now in charge of 8 hospitals for this event. That number doesn't even include the hospitals from the G3 event 2 weeks ago.

With all of these supporters our reach is now international. We are representing American, European and Canadian children's hospitals. My goal for G3 was to help as many sick kids as I could no matter where they were in the world. This wasn't just about local hospitals for me, this was about getting our community involved in helping as many as we could. We have enough hospitals now to help children in a lot of different places around this country and around the globe.

If you are willing to donate, but don't know which hospital to donate to, just click any of the links below.

Please Donate to these Hospitals:

Bristol's Royal Hospital For Children
Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland
Sacred Heart's Children's Hospital Washington
New Orleans Children's Hospital
Nationwide Children's Hospital of Ohio
Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan
Primary Children's Medical Center Salt Lake City
Connecticut Children's Medical Center
UC Davis Children's Hospital
Rhode Island Hasbro Children's Hospital
Oklahoma Children's Hospital Foundation

You can choose to donate any amount you want Anonymously.

How will the Raffle work?
First off, my raffle has absolutely nothing to do with the giveaways Destructoid will be doing throughout the event. Tactix has a TON of games he'll be throwing out to everyone throughout the day. This raffle here is for me to give to the Destructoid Community. I reward kindness, and I will reward you.

For those Dtoiders that leave their Destructoid user name in their donation to any of the hospitals, you will be entered in for a ticket. I was generously given six codes from Monkey Paw Games. We have a goal of $6,000. For every $1,000 reached, I will send a PM with the code to a donator. I want to do this to reward you all. More importantly however, I want to hit that goal.

How to enter your username:
Just fill out the message to participant and make sure it is marked show to everyone. You can still maintain real name anonymity by choosing the "make this donation anonymously" button.

I don't know how Tactix will be running the main show, but you have the opportunity to win 2 or more prizes between the both of us.

Disclaimer: If I can't figure out who you are on Dtoid through your donation, I can't promise you an entry. Make sure to leave a comment.

Games up for Raffle:
3 codes for Shienryu from Monkey Paw Games
3 codes for Galaxy Fight from Monkey Paw Games
1 code for Castle Crashers from The Behemoth

Raffle Winner:
HammerShark won a copy of Galaxy Fight.

Want to watch us game?
Destructoid and DimmuJed have both set up a Twitch.TV live stream where you can check out the games they'll be playing. Please watch us marathon through 24 hours of your favorite games.

Games we will be playing:
My finalized list is as follows:
Super Mario RPG
Nier
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors
Batman Arkham Asylum
Catherine
Galaxy Fight
Rapid Angel

DimmuJed has his own games list up HERE that he'll be playing on his stream.

Destructoid has their list up HERE for the games that they will be streaming.

When do we play?
We will be gaming all Saturday so please join us. If you plan on gaming at all on Saturday, October 15, sign up and gather as many donations as you can for a hospital. Donations are live right now and will run until the end of this month so I do encourage you to participate.

Strapped for Cash?
Just spread the word. I'm asking you personally for a donation, but I'll gladly take some advertising to get people more involved. Tweet it or even Retweet it. Make this a thing.

Already registered and want to join Team Destructoid?
That's great! If you signed up as an individual during registration but would like to join a team now, please email support@extra-life.org. Make sure to include your name, email address and the name of the team you would like to join (Destructoid).

Not American and want to help?
This is not limited to American hospitals. European and Canadian hospitals are all represented by this organization. Money is converted and donated in American Dollars, but money will still be going directly to these hospitals. So please donate and help lend international support to this. This is all about children, no matter where they are on the planet.

Don't feel like supporting this?
Support Child's Play right now. All I ask is that you decide to support sick kids this weekend. That's it.

How To Sign Up and Raise Funds For Your Own Hospital:

GO HERE

Enter your information and how much you are wanting to play for.

Select your role as Join a Team and scroll to find the Destructoid link. Something like this:

Choose the hospital you want to support. It can be a local or international hospital. I chose some Bristol's Royal Hospital at random. Doesn't really matter which hospital you choose, kids around the world need these funds.

Fill out your information and you are now a fundraiser. Good for you.

Time to rejoin the A-Team of fundraising
We are almost at $1,000 so that means the first code from Monkey Paw will be distributed. Jump in to get a code!
And like that, 1 code is out. HammerShark won a copy of Galaxy Fight for simply donating and leaving his username!
We've reached 2000 which means we have a second winner. groundflier was the winner and he got the second copy of Galaxy Fight!

Please donate to all the charities. We have 9 different hospitals going on and each need your help!
$3000 raised, and Zantetzuken is the winner of the last code I have for Galaxy Fight.

Switching over to Shienryu codes now.
$4000 means we have the first code go out for Shienryu! Congratulations is in order to Zeiss.
I'm tapping out for the day. I've played for over 12 hours and I'm exhausted physically and mentally, please keep donating as Nationwide Children's Hospital in Ohio needs money as they are in one of the poorest area's in the nation, Mansfield, Ohio. Thanks for your support and donations, the kids thank you
Thanks for the hard work Jed. I'll still promote your stuff during the event.

Also, since we cleared 5,000 that means Genki-Jam is the next winner of our raffle.
$6,384.16 was raised for this event and I can't thank you all enough. We couldn't have reached this point without you all and we made it.

That's $6,909.16 raised for children's hospitals across the world. That's a lot of money. This donation went a long ways to helping Extra Life break past $1.1 million dollars for the first time in their history.

They couldn't have done it without all your support and hospitals in need now have a good bit of support beneath them.

I'll have a long blog posted about the event and what all happened, but I wanted to thank you all for doing this.

The last winners of the codes are as follows:

TripleZer0 won the final Shienryu code from Monkey Paw Games
ScottyG won the Castle Crashers code from the Behemoth.

Congratulations ya'll and once again thank you
