For any of you who are unaware of what exactly REZ is, it is an old game made by Sega for the Dreamcast. The object of the game is to fly through this electronic world shooting things flying around you. Every time this happens, a beat is made. The more levels you pass through and the more enemies you shoot, creates more beats and more sounds to contribute to this electronic song that you are creating. See below for video on Dreamcast.
So as you can see, the game is full of unique enemies, and full boss fights (which are amazing btw). My first thought when the Wii came out was, "This game can't afford NOT to be on the Wii". It would be a Wiimote only control and you would use the pointer to point, and a button to shoot. Simple enough? Well I thought so.
However, Apparently others have felt the same way about this issue and created a homebrew version of the game featuring the Wiimote. The only problem as you will see is that this version they have created does not use the Wiimote's pointing feature, but instead they use the nunchuck to the control the pointer. This is probably just because the person who made this homebrew did not have the time or resources to program something like that.
If Sega actually re-released this game, it would probably be extremely easy to produce. The base game is already there; all that needs to be done would be the controlling aspect, and maybe a few more levels (the game was kind of short).
Sega please Be Awesome And Make this Game For Wii.
I was always interested by Rez so I downloaded it, burn it onto a disc & played it to see what the fuss was about. (Sorry but I'm not paying the crazy prices the game goes for on Dreamcast) It's a cool unique game, Sega were really pumping out good stuff for the Dreamcast.
As for a Wii Port?
Problem is; could they really justify charging £30-40 (or whatever the going rate is in America for a full-price Wii game). If not, is there any point putting the effort into development at all?
I could have sworn I heard some rumbling a few months ago about REZ being prepped for Xbox Live Arcade. Not sure if that was actually feasible in terms of size, but otherwise, I'd totally be up for REZ in super-high-def graphics.

As for a Wii Port?
Though I agree this game looks damn nice.
I dunno, I never heard of something like that. I mean, using the pointer to point? It's absurd!
This looks awesome and I would be in line right after spitlick to pick up a copy!
