Hmmm, my hardcoreness.

Well awesome gaming bible EDGE magazine once said that you're a hardcore gamer if you own a Neo Geo console. Well I have a Neo Geo Pocket colour. Does that count?

I've just had one of those survey things from Namco-Bandai about the new Klonoa game. It's just asking which of 2 character designs I preferred. ne is the classic Klonoa design that all the cool kids know and love.

The other was this

Looks like some horrible manga inspired saturday morning cartoon crap. Why do they feel the need to make classic characters looks all edgy? Happened to Sonic years back and he still hasn't recovered. Although at least with Sonic he was always the wisecracking cool sort. klonoas just a cuddley cartoony giant cat. He's about as edgy as a satsuma.

you have to be on their mailing list to get the survey email. they send them out to random people. I used to get quite a few from Codemasters. Some of the stuff they would ask about was pretty cool. Like 2 years ago they were asking if I would be interested in a game based on the Ghostbusters license. Hells yes I told them.

I'd hit it.

Its not a bad design, its just not Klonoa without the ears. Though quite frankly if it gets me a new Klonoa game I don't care if they give him fangs.

Because Namco are curently hell bent on taking all the fun out of the industry. Seriously, Half for Beautiful Katamari is on disc DLC. They charged �4 for a character in soul calibur. took out weapon master mode too. And now they wanna make Klonoa edgy.

@ Ashley Davis: I personally agree with your post! I've played Klonoa: Door to Phentomile, and then the GBA games Empire of Dreams and Dream Champ Tournament. All NAMCO is doing is pulling a cute and cuddly character into the 21st century and making EVERYONE who loves Klonoa suffer by giving him the 'today's look'. That's not all fine and dandy with me. Because like you said, Klonoa is NOT Klonoa without those long, cute fuzzy ears of his!
