Kill a soldier and absorb his body mass and knowledge. Then find a tank, hop inside and butcher everyone still hiding inside the metal coffin. Pretty simple right? Well it is for Alex Mercer the anti-hero for Prototype. A lot of you have already heard of this game and are just waiting to figure out if it will get fucked over like all of Vivendi's other games. Well i will start with you all first. The game is still coming out. Activision wasn't that stupid. The game was damn near completion. It was only delayed to tweak some things and to put co-op back in. Ironically after the game was delayed previously to remove co-op. But yes the game is still coming out next year, so just wait to get a solid release date.

Now for everyone who has no idea what Prototype is I'll sum it up in 9 words. The bastard son of Crackdown and Hulk Ultimate Destruction. This is a sandbox game similar to Crackdown in the fact that you can leap from rooftop to rooftop, you can throw cars at people, and you can toss a man into the air and shoot at his body as he is coming down. That's were Crackdown ends and Prototype bursts through. You are a one man army caught in the middle of a war between the army and some sort of mutation. You can handle it because you have the power to kill and absorb people in order to gain their knowledge and experience, but you also add them to your body mass and disguise yourself as them. The more you kill the stronger you get because all that extra mass can be used to produce organic body armor on the fly, or used to turn your arms into deadly weapons. Think the T-1000 from terminator, on CRACK. Also this ability to absorb people is how you get the story. As you devour key individuals they begin to fill in the blank space that is your memory as you uncover your past and figure out the truth behind your powers and the mutation destroying New York.
