Well the achievement list for Prototype was added to
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/ today. It is what you would expect. Complete all mission, kill x amount of enemies, destroy x amount of vehicles, beat the game on hard mode, and what not. I'm not really going to go into detail on them. You can just check them out here

What i did want to talk about is one achievement in particular. It's called Trail of Corpses. It's worth 30 gamer points. but what caught my eye about it is what you must do. You have to kill Kill 53,596 infected. This is just like Left 4 Dead's Zombie Genocidest achievement where you had to Kill 53,595 Infected. Which in turn was just like Dead Rising's Zombie Genocider achievement where you had to...you've guessed it Kill 53,594 zombies. I remember when I was checking out the achievements for Left 4 Dead and i saw Zombie Genocidest, i was like NO WAY. I quickly looked up Dead Rising to confirm my suspicions. It seems a trend was started by Dead Rising. Any game that offers up an infinite supply of infect/ undead enemies will have an achievement such as this, with just one more kill than the last.
You might think there is some fault behind my logic because of games like Dead Space, and Resident Evil. This wouldn't really apply to "survival horror" games, and I use the term loosely for both of them. These games would take too many playthroughs to reach this high of a kill count. Left 4 Dead works because the 4 campaigns are short and they change every time you play them so they won't get too repetitive. Still i love the fact that people are taking what Dead Rising has started and are expanding on it. man i can't wait for this game. And I'm anxious to see what the secret achievements are. Hopefully one of them has me body surfing on someone for a mile, or something like that.
I probably should have waited a little later to post this. Damn c-blogs.
