lucbernard | 12:49 AM on 03.15.2008 35 comments

Since Imagination is the only escape is only coming out Summer 2008

And full production of the game is starting this summer.

So well what game would you guys like to see on Wii?
Since i know wii is full of casual games, and I know there might be some genres you guys must want.

I just well musn't just do platformers

I have a few ideas for other types of games I would like to try doing, but well what would you guys like on the Wii, like genre.

A game where you judge the dead.
Bitch slapping simulator.
Battle zoo animals.
Sperms quest to be born.

A game called Revenge.
Its kind of like an adventure game where the entire point is to get revenge on someone who hurt you in some way. You would need to find a way to balance the quest for revenge and sanity, other relationships, quality of life and safety from the person who hurt you. If you got o far you become worse than the person who hurt you and you ruin your own life.

some first person-thing, not necessarily a shooter, but I'd like to see more applications to the pointer, see what people can do with it. I think more things could be done with the control scheme nintendo has to offer and developers are not trying to tap into that.

De l'innovation s'il-vous-plaît. je croyais que la wii allait paver un nouveau chemin pour l'industrie du jeux, mais pas grand chose n'a été mis sur pieds a présent. Décevant.

So we're talking something other than a platformer, seperate from the projects you've talked about so far?

If you have a team of 87 people hiding somewhere, I'd really like RPGs and Turn based strategy. Set in modern times.

Sorry. All I'm really asking for is Mother 3 and X-Com . . .

How about a shmup?

I'd say the wii needs some more First Person Shooters.
It's got the best control scheme for them, in my opinion anyway.

Wii need more murder simulators! Seriously, I'd like a DS version of a game that mixes the Pokémon elements of exploration and collecting & training Pokémon with the real time battles of Super Smash Bros. Call it Pokémon: The Very Best!

Now, you make the game, take 55% of the profit, give Nintendo 40% for the use of their IPs, and give me 5% for the idea.

RPG, so few of them are being released now. And Nintendo has 3 for the Wii, and one of them is Dogz 2! So please...bring us what even atlus won't. It'll be a whole lot more accepted than lost oddessy, and you'll make truckloads.

I really really want a good old point&click adventure game, maybe something like Zack & Wiki. If it also has RPG elements, all the better :)

But it would be awesome if it was kind of like The Wire: adult themes, realistic characters and a storyline that you care about because you want to know what happens to those characters next. Also, it would be great if you could use your Mii's as characters, so that every gamer could have his own personalized adventure! You could even tackle different social issues in episodic content with the Wiiware format.

Schmup, or you could combining two genre's like the old Blaster Master on the NES. Half of the game was a side scroller, while the other half has a 2/3(?) overhead veiw going to boss battles.

lucbernard: Audiosurf had an insane amount of success thanks to being pimped on Steam. Steam tends to pimp the other indie titles they have like Darwinia also. Plus, many PC gamers are hungry for titles that aren't FPS's, RPG's, or RTS's. We love those, but we'd love to play something else too. There's no expensive dev kit/licensing required (just a computer with a semi-modern video card thrown in if you're doing 3d). Telltale Game's Sam and Max series is developed and runs fine on Geforce 4's/Fx's, which are 5+ year old cards.

The point is, unless you're doing a high-end FPS, a PC game can be developed pretty cheaply, and if your main method of distribution is through a download than it turns into pure profit once development costs are paid.

I'd like to see more RPG's on the Wii. After the Nintendo 64, RPG's get little love on Nintendo's consoles. It got a little better on the gamecube but it still sucks. Point and click adventures would be awesome too.

I think more than anything I don't want to see games that force the wii-mote controls onto the title. Not every DS titles used the touch screen so why does every Wii title have to have waggle?

Hows about a 2D one on one fighting game that is turn-based but fast paced, with people fighting with rapiers on tables and swinging from chandeliers and the like?
And as well as having turn based options for attacks and flashy counter and evasive moves you can also use witty banter to demoralise your opponent (the taunts can also be countered, provided the opponent chooses a witty and effective retort a-la the Monkey Island games)

Shit this idea ain't half bad, I'm writing this down :)

I want to see more of those point and click games. After playing Zack & Wiki, I think a Wii sequel of Touch Detective could work well.
