Now well this is not new, alot of people hate Uwe Boll.

Clearly whoever has time to create anti boll websites should get a life.

Ok Uwe Boll isn't the best director ever, but his films aren't that bad either, has anyone ever seen a movie with Jean Claude Van Damne in it? Those are quite awful also, and no one hates Jean Claude that much.

The fact is Uwe Boll is a easy target, and well its always easier to hate on someone that to say something nice.

Also well most games he has adapted well the stories of those games weren't that great either, I mean Bloodrayne, House Of The Dead, what can you do with that? Honestly

It's not like Uwe Boll has done a Bioshock or Psychonauts movie for example.

And another thing that I noticed is that there really isn't a big fan base of the games he adapted, people just hate on him for no reason.

It's just getting childish.

Uwe Boll is a very nice guy, he has very good motivations, I mean he has a passion for films.

Does anyone remember Ed Wood? Ok Ed Wood wasen't the best director but he had a passion for what he did.

And you got to admire Uwe Boll for continuing to make movies despite all the people that hate him.

I will probably get bad comments because of this blog, but I'm just saying leave the man alone. If you don't like his films don't watch them, most people that hate Boll haven't even seen his movies

You do make some good points, Luc. It's true that he hasn't yet adapted any luminaries of the gaming world. Alone in the Dark was probably the closest he came to defiling a franchise.

For what it's worth, I've noticed the overall hate directed towards Boll from the gaming community has been waning recently. Then again, he hasn't been in the spotlight recently for game-related issues since Postal's "hype" has been focused on censorship.

Honestly, I'm just waiting for his films to crossover from "Bad" to "Awesomely Bad".

The first time I felt bad for the guy is when they announced Postal would get 4 theaters across the US. WTF?!? He might as well just fold his cards on theaterical releases and hope straight-to-dvd sales work for him, cause it doesnt look like its getting better.

I admire him for his tenacity, he doesnt give up. It helps that he had Germany backing his finances. But shit, he was using the system how it was designed.

All this being said, I lol'd several times while watching Alone in the Dark. Mostly at the madness of Christian Slater & Tara Reid appearing in the same movie.

The current rumor is that he makes films that German investors can write off as losses so they can bump themselves into a lower tax bracket.

In other words he's making shitty movies on purpose.

He may be a nice guy to meet but either hes a mega jackass when talking in interviews etc, or hes a massive troll.

Either way, he hasnt made great movies... but as you say, theyre not that bad.Theyre at least watchable.

I enjoy his films for what they are, brain dead action movies to enjoy with your friends. Sure they are never going to be classed as high art but is that really what we want out of every movie?

And damn it I want to see Postal, I don't even know if it's getting a UK release at all.

I work with retarded kids. They're nice, but they're still retarded. That's how I feel about Mr. Boll. He may be nice, But he's still a moron who can't make a movie to save his life.
