Needs more guns and explosions. Also blood and tits. Bloody exploding gun tits even.
I'm still a little confused on what exactly is happening. It looks like you simply move you guy onto platforms to the right side of the screen while a girl who shoots follows. It also looks rather difficult to see what is coming next, but if you could zoom out quite a bit that would most likely solve that issue.
Also, is that the music from the game? I mean I love the visuals, but it needs more SFX, otherwise it doesn’t seem like you’re too into it.
One last thing, I’m not quite sure on how the floating heart thing works either. I mean for a platformer it seems that the controls would be fine.
Don’t take any of this the wrong way, it just doesn’t seem like it’s as user friendly as it could be. I do love the art though. I am also hopping to get it when it comes out. Good luck!
I'm intrigued. I still have no idea at all what this game is about or even what the goal of each level is exactly... but I'm very curious to see more.
Also, the new animations are pretty sweet (Even though I liked the old ones too).
Is that heart reticle similar to the star in SMG? Are you controlling it with the Wii's IR?
The flash game argument is kind of stupid. Like what some people said about N+. I don't really understand how you can make that argument because if you claim that one is like a free flash game, you could say that about any game. I see WiiWare, PSN, and XBLA all as platforms for smaller games that are cheaper and smaller. And all the games on these services are kind of like flash games in their own way - their size, they're not as long as full budget games, etc.
So I don't know much about EC, it looks like a platformer based on the video (I'd say that's a good guess?).
How fun is the game, Luc? I'm just wondering :P. I like my platformers to be fluid and smooth and easy to control, in the way that Mario games nail it perfectly - especially the jumping mechanics. Hopefully the camera won't be a problem.
movements seemed a bit stiff, maybe I don't know, when the character is standing, he could breath/ catch his breath after running(make him more fluid). movements are too stiff, pretty much all I have to say about it.
Looks nice so far but it still could use some improvement. I think that you should have the main guy bend his knees while doing things like running and jumping so it looks more natural. Also, the characters could use more facial expressions to give them more personality. This game definitely has the potential to be great though. Hope it turns out great in the end.
Looking quite good so far. Any little sound effects to be added afterwards?
I like the character and level art.
Any chance on getting some interaction between the heart cursor and the characters e.g. eye movement, head movement. It's something small i really liked about Zack and Wiki. I have no idea how difficult that is though so it might be a big ask.
Apart from that i agree with the comments on movement (seems a bit stiff), but you say you are dealing to that so no worries.
And of course you will be making another trailer after/close to release right? Maybe with some later level stuff. This just didn't grab me, but i understand that probably isn't the point of this video as stated by you ("don't say it's boring" etc..)
You might have them, I don't know, but fun random idle animations are always a great thing to have :D
@lucbenard: Ahh, right you are. I did look, but i couldn't quite tell.
