My bro recently got me the M3 for my DS and its spectacular. I don't think Nintendo trying to get at you about it will be a problem because the R4 and M3 both have upgradeable firmware, in addition to the DS being more of a stand alone system(Wii Network vs. Wi-Fi compatibility).
As for TF2, you shouldn't give up on any class, being a well rounded player helps you turn the tide for your team in those clutch moments. For sniping in particular, sadly you need to have the quick twitch response to have any success :/

I haven't given up on Sniping, I just know I'm not very good at it Kor. I lack the twitch skills...currently at least. That and I haven't gotten many opportunities to snipe lately. Like...if a sniper is needed, I'm usually fulfilling some other role, like BURNINATING, yknow?

Nds-roms.com is also a good place to not download games illegally. It also has a not list of roms for your ctrl-f not enjoyment (You have to register to their forums first) http://nds-roms.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3
