And go download the XNA Creators Club demo if you haven't already.

But if you're reading a c-blog on Dtoid at ten at night on a Monday, logic would point to the conclusion that you have already done so.

Next, if you haven't already, download the demo for the Dishwasher.

This is by far the most enjoyable title featured in this tantalizing hourdourve portioned version of XNA Creators Club. If you're not compelled to try this out on my word alone, then just envision Ninja Gaiden NES with the fluidity of New Super Mario Bros. for DS, with the visual grace of Okami...and the balls of Christian Bale.

That's right, I'm going there. I dub the Dishwasher with the completely inaugural, and totally erroneous award of: 2008 Christian Bales' Balls Award.

So...in summation: Stop. Download. XNA. Christian Bales' Balls.

(If they don't hand out Pulitzer's for c blog's, they sure as hell ought to start after this gem.)

I actually did not like it. The art style was FAR to goth/emo for me and really ruined what could have been an enjoyable game (gameplay wise, the controls were quite nice) had it not been so dark and gloomy.

I enjoy a bevy of art styles. This game ranks up there with Katamari for most hard on inducing art directions in my eyes.

But I'm also an odd son of a bitch too.

Verse One: Humpty Hump (Shock G)
All right!
Stop whatcha doin'
'cause I'm about to ruin
the image and the style that ya used to.
I look funny
but yo I'm makin' money see
so yo world I hope you're ready for me.
Now gather round
I'm the new fool in town
and my sound's laid down by the Underground.
I drink up all the Hennessey ya got on ya shelf
so just let me introduce myself
My name is Humpty, pronounced with a Umpty.
Yo ladies, oh how I like to hump thee.
And all the rappers in the top ten--please allow me to bump thee.
I'm steppin' tall, y'all,
and just like Humpty Dumpty
you're gonna fall when the stereos pump me.
I like to rhyme,
I like my beats funky,
I'm spunky. I like my oatmeal lumpy.
I'm sick wit dis, straight gangsta mack
but sometimes I get ridiculous
I'll eat up all your crackers and your licorice
hey yo fat girl, c'mere--are ya ticklish?
Yeah, I called ya fat.
Look at me, I'm skinny
It never stopped me from gettin' busy
I'm a freak
I like the girls with the boom
I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom
I'm crazy.
Allow me to amaze thee.
They say I'm ugly but it just don't faze me.
I'm still gettin' in the girls' pants
and I even got my own dance

Ooo. Would this be a game creator that could possibly be at my level? I doubt it, but I'm still looking into it.

No, not nearly my level. Ah well.

The Dishwasher is the best of the bunch, but I still think the XNA games aren't very fun.

The Dishwasher is only a few steps above a Flash game, like that Little Gamers game

What a bitch reason to dislike a game.[/fuckingassholecommentercommentbymefortheday]

They may be a few steps above flash games, but I see XNA as a landmark in indy development, as literally anyone with access to a computer and the determination to learn with Visual Basic (and 100 dollars a year to burn on the XNA license), can put together a project that they have in their head.

I see it as a positive step forward, especially in a year where Little Big Planet also enters the fold of easily accessible design tools.

its a great sidescroller with tight controls. maybe itll see an extended color palette for the commercial release (add some brown to the blacks, greys, whites and reds)

Ice Cube is back to being a metro sexual pseudo artsie douche and is...I really don't know what's going on here. Clues, please?

@Redzie

Did you try to play through once more after the initial demo level? You get to keep the new weapon that allows you to bamf! around the level like Nightcrawler with the right thumb-stick.

That’s not New Found Glory; it’s Brand New. So...

Ice Cube is back with a brand new...contraption? Perpetual motion machine? Gizmo?
