Yeah I got Persona 4 in the mail yesterday from Amazon, was surprised that they put the art book in there as well. In total it cost me $34, I used a $10 off coupon and got free shipping :)

Probably won't be opening either for awhile since I'm only 15 hours through Persona 3: FES and I refuse to go on until I've completed it at least once. P3 marathon here we come!

What's the word? I've been hearing it's even better than P3, which at least gives me motivation to finish P3 for once in the 8 months I've had it.

P4 is fucking amazing. If you drop P3 right now, and pick up P4, theres no going back cause' they improved over sooo much from P3.

Guess it would be best to finish P3 then, kinda disappointed in myself that I didn't get into P3 till after P4 came out, heh.

I just came off a session in Persona 4 where I lost to the final boss (which I am totally equipped to defeat) when I only needed one turn to destroy it, because it managed to critical hit my hero twice and get four turns with which to destroy him. Of course, all my other party members survived with half health or higher -_-. SMT'd

I agree that this blog should have a bit more content, but I find it ironic that someone without an avatar, banner, or single blog is sounding frustrated.

I'm semi with Redzie, but I also think P3 had a few things that were better than P4, like the ability to equip any type of weapon to the main character. You can't do that in P4 anymore. :( I also slightly preferred the story in 3, but that just depends on what your tastes are. Pretty much everything else has been improved in P4. Both games are absolutely amazing in their own right, and they're two of my favorite RPGs.

And yes, I've completed both of them, so I'm not just making crap up. :P

I started Persona 4 a few days ago, and I am about 14 hours in. The game is f*cking hard! I must really suck at games, 'cause I just can't beat *spoiler* Shadow Yukiko. I don't know why. I think I'm leveled enough, ah well, I'll just have to keep trying.

you should be in the Lvl 16+ range with personas specializing in Bufu/Mabufu attacks and have debuffs such as Rakunda and Sukunda. Also get Dia and Media to help out a lot. Even I got a hard time from that battle but the satisfaction in beating her is worth it.

I was once fighting the *spoiler* last form of the last boss in P3, and when he was just about to die, one of my characters got charmed and she healed him completely. I don't think I played the game for a week after that.

I just picked up 3 and 4 yesterday for 70$ total for both. I've been hooked to P3 so far and cant wait to play 4.

Heh, it's fine, Lawl. It just seems kinda like a forum thing, especially since you're asking for impressions from everyone else.

As a suggestion, maybe give us some of your Persona 3 impressions. That'll be related to your excitement for Persona 4, and get everyone else to give their thoughts as well.

I want to agree that some parts of P3 were better than P4. With the exception of Naoto I found the cast of P3 more interesting (it doesn't help that a lot of them seem to directly correlate to P3 characters).

heh, you're in almost the same boat as me. (resent acquisition of P4 from Amazon, but still early in FES) Hope you're enjoying it as much as I am!
