CONFIRMED Guitar Hero 3 soundtrack CD, and why you might want to get the game for your 360
kwaselow | 6:09 PM on 09.22.2007 3 comments

Earlier today, I posted about how "Kool Thing" by Sonic Youth has been confirmed to be in Guitar Hero 3. What I didn't realize was, inside my source, there was even bigger news. The Guitar Hero 3 soundtrack will be in record stores everywhere (if they feel like selling it) on October 30th. No word yet on how many songs will be on that soundtrack, but "Miss Murder," "Kool Thing" and "3's & 7's" will be on it. The CD will come with a special code that allows Xbox Live users access to three bonus songs. They are "Carcinogen Crush" by AFI, "Tina" by Flyleaf, and a remix of "Putting Holes in Happiness" by Marilyn Manson (the remix is done by Nick Zinner from Yeah Yeah Yeahs). As much as I'd love to let you guys listen to all three of these songs, the only one i could find was the original version of "Putting Holes in Happiness"

The source? You can't handle the source!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Destructoid easily has the most British users out of any site I go to, and technically, I'm 1/4 British. I say technically because, although my grandfather was from Montreal, he became a citizen in 1932, 50 years before Canadian independence.

I'm a proud Michigander, and I appreciate some motherfucking jazz.

Up to now, I have earned
