I have nearly every Nintendo system that has ever come out, I'm basically a fanboy, but I got a 360 about 3 months ago. Since the Wii is just a dust magnet right now I basically play KotOR, Bioshock, and COD4.

KOTOR: Freezing causes me to cry myself to sleep.

So I buy an Xbox a couple months ago to play about 6 select games before I get lost in a 360. I ended up buying Fable, Halo 2, Chaos Theory, Burnout 3, and KOTOR. KOTOR instantly became my favorite game of the bunch, it was just amazing. I soon went on vacation and returned wanting something different, I started playing Halo 2 hardcore online. So I attempt to pick up my KOTOR game again near the end of June.

I had gotten to Tatoine by this point and the first thing I see when I turn on my Xbox are three Dark Jedis. I start queuing up attacks, hit white and I hear "ZZZBEEPZZZZZ". The game had frozen. I gape, restart the console and it happens again. I do this about 10 times, trying different ways to approach it. There seems to be no way around it. I haven't picked up the game since, excluding an attempt to start over.

So my question is, is there no work around this freeze during the game? And if there isn't, is the game worth starting completely over to finish?

is the disc screwed? Starting might not be so bad, you can try a different character approach.

I can't tell about the disc. It was used when I bought it, but when I look at it, it seems there are only minor scratches, not the skating rink you sometimes get.

Yeah, I tried going with a scoundrel this time, but the play style doesn't fit me because stealth is nearly useless in fights, and the character is simply too frail.

I had KOTOR freeze on my XBOX numerous times, but I never had it freeze more than a few times in any given situation. It was annoying, but it didn't prevent me from finishing.

Can you try a different planet and come back to Tattoine?

If it's tied to that particular encounter, I'd try going and doing something else in-game and see if you can trigger some other event first and then give it a shot. Might just be a wiggy variable somewhere.

Too bad. I never had KOTAR or KOTAR2 freeze up on me. Any of the other games you got freeze?

kotar? its kotor. lol. anywho, my N3 was purchased new a while ago and it freezes when i fight that one dude in that one forest with the first chick. thus, i cant get 1k/1k from it. =(

Go to blockbuster rent KOTOR and if that disk moves past the point you are at keep it and return the bad copy in the rental. Heartless i know but it's an old game not to many people will be hurt.

You do realize that all of those games are backwords compatible...well maybe not Burnout, but the rest are!

Ya, I just didn't have the money at the time to get a 360 and wouldn't for a while, so I decided to get an Xbox instead.
