Haha, no problem. I read a whole bunch of random websites, and I figured there were at least some Dtoiders who probably never heard of these places.
BMed for later.
this is a good read if youre into CRPGs http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/1571/the_history_of_computer_.php

Are these excerpts from his book? I've heard of it, although I haven't read any of it. CRPG Addict mentions it on his blog from time to time. Also, Matt Barton has a solid series of game reviews and RPG creator interviews called "Matt Chat." That's another solid series for anyone who likes RPG's.
Here's the youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/blacklily8
Here's his actual blog, which has more than the just the videos: http://www.armchairarcade.com/neo/blog/4
In any case, I'll have to give the series a run through. I should also pick up the book sometime. Honestly, Matt Chat is cool series. It's not as focused or ambitious as Chrontendo or the CRPG Addict's blog, but it provides a nice, approachable introduction to a bunch of cool games, as well as countless interviews with big names (for obscure RPG fans, that is!).

I've looked into it more, and it seems that his book (Dungeons and Desktops) actually grew -out of- these Gamasutra features. Now I'm not sure if I want to read the features, or give in and buy his book....
@Rainbow: Yeah, I would've said more about Spoony, but I assume that anyone interested in this C-blog post would already be aware of him. For the uninitiated, look into his Ultima reviews. Or, really, any of his reviews. Really really funny. Personally, as much as I love AVGN, I think Spoony manages to offer more substance while actually being funnier.
Thanks for the links. I'll definitely check out Chrontendo. NES plus informative gaming history sounds right up my alley.
Kudos!
Kudos!
How about racketboy.com I always liked their content as well.
There's also the one where the guy writes about every game ever for a paragraph, I can't recall the name righ now, but that one was fun too.
Always glad to see more retro enthusists!

There are certainly no rules against a well put together, informative blog! I'm not personally a fan of retro games (I remember many of those from when they were new), but this seems to be a very nice reference blog!
Racketboy is another good site. I've used some of their listings myself just to find something to play.
http://www.youtube.com/user/Gamester81 - Does neat little videos on obscure gaming consoles. Slightly different than retrogaming (as the focus is not on the games themselves), but I'm sure even the most ardent nerd will find information on consoles he or she has never even heard of.
http://www.playeronepodcast.com/ - Has a decent chronogaming project for the Sega CD, as well as some other stuff I'm not as familiar with.
http://www.gamingcx.com/ - Has a bunch of subbed Game Center CX/Retro Game Challenge videos. Those videos are great for anyone who loves retrogaming and Japanese pop culture. You can probably find the videos better just by searching youtube, as I think they're subbed over at Something Awful. This is just a site that has a decent listing of them.
http://socksmakepeoplesexy.net/index.php - There's a lot here. I'd just look around and see if there's anything that intrigues you. Very solid retrospective of the Final Fantasy series.
http://www.1up.com/1upblogs/3/1ups_retro_gaming_blog - Here's another decent retrogaming blog.
http://www.filfre.net/ - Interesting discussion of old PCs and PC gaming.
http://allconsolerpgs.blogspot.com/ - The RPG Consoler has a decent follow-up blog to CRPG Addict focused on western-released console RPGs. It's not as active as Adventure Gamer or nearly as thorough or long-running as CRPG Addict, but it's a fun blog if you enjoy the other two.
There are loads others I'm sure. Feel free to keep sharing. If people are really interested, I'm sure they'll check the comments.

Thanks for the comments. I'm considering becoming more active with the C-Blog. I really enjoy ranting on random video game subjects, and, well, if it provides anyone with info or entertainment that they wouldn't have otherwise....
