We can all stop playing GH3 now.
kielejocain | 11:19 PM on 06.04.2008 10 comments

I have owned Rock Band for almost two months now, and still haven't gotten over the fun of playing drums. My poor PS2 has been sitting idle that whole time, guitars lying on the ground collecting dust. Yesterday, a friend of mine pointed them out to me, and I began to feel sorry for them.

Then I saw this.

(thanks for the embed tip, MrSadistic)

Whelp, guess there's no reason to pick up the ol' GH axes ever again.

(Note: I did a quick search for a related post and didn't find one, so threw this up. Sorry if it's old news.)

... I don't play rhythm games to get 100% and then quit. I play because its fun. Especially with friends.

And its kind of old news, but not really.

Well first off; copy the YouTube embedded video link and paste it into the little box under "Embed New Video" section when you make a new blog post. Second, you got Rock Band for the PS2 so there's your problem right there. Third, I think that video has been posted before. Finally, I don't get what the big idea is when someone pulls off a full combo on the hardest song in a GH game.

@MrSadistic

moreso just to gloat and say "I bitched that song". It's common in those you know....DDR songs where they try to show off and whatnot.

also, I thought people stopped playing GHIII when Rock Band's launch hit?

"... I don't play rhythm games to get 100% and then quit."

And I don't ever take a D-Toid headline seriously.

"Second, you got Rock Band for the PS2 so there's your problem right there."

Why? The graphics? The downloadable content everyone has been complaining isn't as Rock Band's? I really don't think it matters which console you have GH3 for, it pales in comparison to RB.

"Third, I think that video has been posted before."

I wasn't trying to scoop, I was just trying to share something I thought was cool. Guess I failed. Oh well.

"also, I thought people stopped playing GHIII when Rock Band's launch hit?"

I know I did. That's partially why this video was such a surprise to me. I had forgotten entirely about GH3 until my friend showed me that video today.

why is that pussy sitting down? You can't rock (albeit a video game) sitting down. I'm not impressed.

eh, I kinda hate people who have to use both hands just to "pass a song"

if solos weren't so easy in GHIII, i'm sure he wouldn't have passed it. Then again, I guess most people who can't play aguitar like that would anyway.

Heh, didn't watch it the whole way through last time. I like his reaction at the end. ^_^

Eh, there are a couple of things that make me wonder what's up with this, the first being that there's at least a couple of times where there's nothing going on on-screen, but he's stil moving his fingers and you hear tapping noises. Granted he can be tapping the fret buttons without strumming, but still, it's odd given that he's facing away from the camera, so you can't see much of what's going on. Makes it a little harder to swallow.

That said, if it's legit, and not another person posting a vid of the GH3-bot playing the song and pretending to do it himself, then kudos to him. That shit is difficult.

eh. impressive, but i've stopped caring since i never will be able to do that anyway.

 about me

My recent biggest love is rhythm games; I can't get enough Rock Band a/o Guitar Hero. I'm also a fan of the RPG, WoW, and Zelda and Metroid games.

Currently I'm playing the above and saving up for a 360 so that I can bring RB into my own house, as well as a few other titles (Assassin's Creed, maybe Mass Effect for principled side boob, Portal).
