It lacks replay value and the game isn't that long; get over it.
Using Portal as a comparison is innaccurate. Once you beat Portal there was quite a lot of things to do. Getting at least Silver or Gold on every challenge took a while, as did finished Advanced levels. Braid has no replay value.
But, sure, I'm an idiot because I want to stretch my dollar when I can hardly afford to pay for college as is.
Go ahead, sling more mud. It makes you look so good.
And me, getting my head out of my ass? Oh, yes, I'm certainly going to take advice from someone who had to throw out insults to someone who didn't like your precious Braid.

[i]I'm an average guy. Of course by average I mean I have absolutely no social life especially during summer. Today is a glorious Saturday. The weather is overcast (my favorite) and even though I have a bit of a cold I wouldn't mind going outside and pretending to enjoy the presence of others. Instead though I decided to stay indoors and get the last bit of achievements I need in Portal. Now I'm using a guide but hey fuck you these challenges still take a bit of skill to achieve. I'm on the third advance puzzle and currently I'm trying to tackle the get through the level with the least amount of steps challenge. Its going to be tricky but hey I got 55 steps on my side. I'll try to meet that goal or take less than 55 steps.
What I can't do....what I can never do I should say is get through the level with only taking 5 steps. Its not because I don't have the precision of a mouse and keyboard its because I'm just not that talented and I'm willing to beat you aren't either.[/i]
That sounds like it's taking some time for you to finish. And you're even using a guide book. That sounds like replay value to me.

If a game is designed around solving puzzles, and doesn't provide additional puzzle chambers, then what enjoyment would you get out of solving the same puzzles repetitively?
I haven't played Braid, as I don't own a 360, but is it just a puzzle game? Doesn't it have platforming elements as well? Is the platforming not fun? One could say that Zelda games are also designed around solving puzzles, but the action elements of the games are also fun and make them worth playing through repeatedly.

I've played Portal about 7 times and I never get bored.
Seriously, just hide this shit so we can all go on with our lives.
also, heretic, as you said, what's the point of extra challenges if people wont play them? That applies to all games so you just shot yourself in the foot.

I apologise for posting this, it was a little irresponsible of me. I am however shocked that it received 50 FUCKING COMMENTS. This is exactly whats wrong with the internet, my most childish, pathetic posting received a huge response and an article i put time and effort into, one that i thought about in attempt to generate honest and open discussion, received almost no response whatsoever.
