hmxsean tells us on the
official Rock Band community site that this week is going to kick ass.
That and he promises to tell us every Monday what's in store for DLC for the week. Is it just me or is there way too much DLC coming out for this game? While I am a junkie for music games and getting way more songs than I should ever consider, putting a price tag per song really makes me think twice about the songs in question. I'll pick up probably 2 of these songs, but I wish they could've packaged more songs with the game; making their total closer to GH3's "free" song total, opposed to "hey guys, we have like 50 songs ready to go, but we think they're not worthy of your $59.99."
I have no problem with DLC, but it kind of seems half-assed for them to release the game and have it only be a shell (see: Gran Turismo HD's failure). But to each his own; you don't need to play those crappy pop-rock-friendly bands (even a buck a piece; I won't) when you can rock out, you jean-jacket-wearing meatheads, to Metallica and Iron Maiden all night for $1.99 per song.
So without further useless banter (which most likely you skipped over anyway), here's the goods:
This week at $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) we have-
"Number of the Beast" made famous by Iron Maiden (cover)
"Die! All Right" by the Hives
"Interstate Love Song" by Stone Temple Pilots
No complaints here.
Oh.
Not that wouldn't want an entire music decated to the Who.
Also your avatar is awesome. Zylo FTW
My favorite Iron Maiden song AND my favorite STP song! And Die alright is a badass song too! YESSSSSSSSSSSS
It's not that I'm whining about the amount of DLC, or that I didn't know this was their intention, but when you see just how much they already had readily available at launch + immediate weeks after (given that they say it takes 3 months per song to make into game-ready content), I'm just kind of miffed that there wasn't a handful more in the game itself (say, the first 2 weeks worth of DLC or just 5 songs; whatever is needed to make it somewhere around 60 launch songs - too lazy to look up default song list thanks to my purchases lol)
I'll buy, and happily, just wish I could've gotten more for my $169.99 initial purchase. Or even the $60 game if I bought separately (when you see that there's something like 70-some-odd songs in their competitor's (lol) product for the base price. I know they add a whole new level yada yada, but I like a decent song base for free (don't we all)
Based on that, you guys can probably take guesses as to what else we might be seeing in the future, eh?
