Today has been a crazy day for Gaming with news all the way from Japan @ TGS (Tokyo Game Show). I have seen this video a few times now and to be quite honest I don't get it. I think there are many things that a game developer can create other than having to rehash any bit of memory of the terror attack of 9/11. I mean c'mon EA with all the talent you have your team could not think of anything at all other the even of 9/11. Well that's my rant what's your? Do you even care about this since you think it's been long enough for the pain to have subsided?

I actully like this banner. And NP, the Embed system can be complicated if you've never used it before.

lol I liked the old one too

I really wanted this game regardless, so I think it really didn't need it in there. If they want to make there game more controversial for the sales that's one thing, but if it ends up being a great story behind it then it's not as demeaning.

It doesn't bother me personally. Same thing when Law & Order does a show "ripped from the headlines".

I agree with Sterling's post on this, it was understated and tasteful, rather than "OMG THOSE BASTARDS COME ON LET'S GO KILL SOME A-RABS!!!!"

Doesn't bother me in the least.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's been six years and this is the first time I remember it even being mentioned in a game, and this doesn't seem tasteless. There were terrorist shenanigans and two elite soldiers get sent out to take care of some bidness. It's not like you have to guide the inhabitants of the WTC around falling debris, like some minigame from Aladdin for the SNES. Seems surprisingly acceptable to me.

This is the first time the game has really caught my attention, actually.

Yup that is my point. For me personaly I see video games as a form of expression like painters and writers. I want to clarify what I ment in the post. I know for us gamers things aren't as RIGHT or WRONGE we just want a solid story with great game play. But as far as news reporters and diplomats this always seems to hit a nerve. I agree with Sharpless "It's been six years and this is the first time I remember it even being mentioned in a game, and this doesn't seem tasteless" but i think it's cool to see were we all are as a people.

It shouldn't be an important issue for reporters to talk about. It's just a cutscene. Games can have a bit of controversy in their shit. It's called freedom of speech.
