All of the Mario Galaxy hype has got me more excited about mario than when my parents told me they were gettin Mario 3

That got me to thinking that Nintendo may purposley be following a Mario scheme

Mario 64=Super Mario Bros.

One taught us what we should expect from great 2d platformers and established all the series staples. The other did the exact same thing but moved all of those staples to 3d.

Mario Sunshine=US Mario 2

Both were very diffrent from their predcessors and felt almost like side stories. They were ok but everybody just wanted more of what they got from the first games and Nintendo decides to give us these sequels chock full of WTF?

Mario Galaxy=Mario 3

Mario 3 is mine and everybody I know's favorite mario game the suits the music the diffrent worlds the SHIPS!!! All of this stuff combined to make a game that could be released today and I would still pay $50 for. All of that Mario 3 innovation and quirkiness seems like its gettin packed into galaxy. Just the thought of having a 3d mario 3 succesor makes my pants tight. If galaxy is half as innovative and fun as mario 3 was when it first came out then it along with smash bros will be the only games I need to make buying a Wii a worthy purchase.


And if this schemes keeps going what would 3d super mario world be like????
