I picked up The Orange Box today. Right when I got home, I popped in Portal (the main reason I got the set), and three hours later I finished it.
It was an amazing three hours (that's what she said), but what a short game.
I'm not feeling up for these so-called "advanced maps" just yet, but I hope they keep me busy for longer than the main game did. I got semi-stuck a couple times, but nothing to the point of feeling really frustrated.
The voicework in the game is probably the best I've ever heard in a game. I couldn't stop laughing at it, and near the end it really creeped me out, while maintaining the humor it had already established.
I haven't ever played Half-Life 2, but I hear it's amazing. Team Fortress 2 looks like a lot of fun as well. If Portal were a little longer, I'd have paid full price for it alone. So all in all, I think The Orange Box is definitely worth a place in any 360 or PC owner's library.
Oh and I got approved for some fat credit cards today, and I bought a Canon Digital Rebel XTi. Not video game-related, I know, but I'm super excited about it.
