Track-by-Track Review : Chinese Democracy (Guns 'n Roses)
inzader | 7:49 PM on 11.25.2008 0 comments

1. Chinese Democracy - Intro is... LONG!!! Man. HERE I AM ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE! That's the guitar intro. I'm really liking this... but I have a feeling the rest of the tracks are awful. Guitar solo is badass, but sounds to much like "Bulls on Parade" by Rage.

2. Shacklers Revenge - Sounds like one of those Sonic Adventure Songs. And Axl's low voice might give me a heart attack. Seriously. And this is the best Chorus I've ever heard though. But then it's get's fucked in the mouth by abruptly ending. It makes me said. Then the lead into the chorus is the worst thing I've ever heard. But the main problem is that ITS NOT 80'S MUSIC ANYMORE! I miss you Welcome to the Jungle. Wow, The Guitar Solo just made me jump. Holy damn.

3. Better - Well, this isn't better. As the first two tracks were pretty Pimp. This sounds like a mix between Evenseance and Yelowcard. That's a bad thing. Case Closed. This song is to long also.

4. Streets of Dreams - Sound like Weird Al' Yankovich's "Don't download this song". Or ANY Styx song. Seriously, It's pathetic. I want it to end soon. Wait, the Guitar solo is right out of any Journey song. Diagnosis: Awful!

5. If the World - Sounds like the song before I forgot I was listing to it.

6. There was a Time - This song is OK. but it's not G n' R. That's the problem. It sounds like Cheap metal. Like Zinc (If you can tell me why this isn't a metal plus 10 for you,) That's pretty cheap, right? I don't know. Its in Almonds, that's pretty cheap. I'm going off topic. I forgot the song was playing. Its bad... I changed my mind. This song is so FUCKING LONG. Shave my Pubs and call me "Flapjack" seriously. MAN, suicide... that sounds great. END IT NOW! What I do so you don't have to put up with this. God, I'm gonna have to take a shower after listing to this.

7. Catcher in the Rye - Sounds like Lyle Lovet, I love him... but it's Axl rose. That's the problem. Not as catchy as the first 2 songs. But its meh, mostly meh. Also, he does the "Nananana" thing. It's pissing me out of the roof. Seriously. Shave me, Oh, great god, Morgan Freeman.

8. Scraped - Starts off badass... really badass. But It gets boring after oh, 20 seconds. I hate this song. So much. I hate this Album. Kill me.

9. Riad n' the bedouins - Starts off all Techno and Star Trek... then a faint guitar chord in the distance. Tears come out my eye from the cheese. I pull out my gun... load it, pull the trigger and miss. FUCK, that was my last bullet. GOD DAMN! What's with the techno Guitar Solo's through out this entire album... its weird. Feels like it was made for Guitar Hero. Hmmmm.

10. Sorry - Techno intro again. Then leads into Porno music. I forgot the song was playing until the last minute, sorry. Sucks, probably.

11. IRS - I keep forgetting these are playing. Backround music, at the MOST. Awful. Just Awful. Boring music, Awful.

12. Madagascar - No Ben Stiller. Ballad-y again. I really might kill something. I hat this so much. Shave me or something harsher. It sounds like Fucking anime music. maybe if I was still into Anime i might like this shit. Is Axl talking to himself again. I'm really not liking this one bit.

13. This is love - I don't wanna listen to this. At all. Third best song on the album.... to change my mind. Listenable. Entertaining, best Guitar Solo on the record. But that's all. Feels like it should play in a Gears of War 3 ad. Ala Mad World. Very Epic... good!

14. Prostitute - Sounds like it was made with Garage Band. But... HOOKERS. Nevermind. Sigh. I really wanna kill myself. He's good at singing though. HOLY SHIT IT JUST KICKED IN! It's a good song. It got all loud and Epic again. I like the strings backround sounds like good anime music. The chorus is pretty boring though. Only 3 minutes left of this album. I also changed my mind again about this song. It's awful. Please be better next time Axl. It's about to lead into the final notes. They make it all worth it. NOT.

Final Verdict: 2.6 Cowbells out of 5 Cowbells. For the Stoned and the Sad.
Next time: The Killers: Day and Age.

Congratz, Community On the GCN link. I'm new here... as you can see I'm trying to get confy around here. I was swayed to sign up after I heard from SG that Dtoid was joining the GCN, not being Very familer to the site, I thought I'd check out the shows.

My Reviews:

Podtoid: Jim Sterlings Impressions, His usage of the word "Cunt" and all around Britsh AWESOMENESS makes this show very listenable, and good for Bedtime.

Retro Force: LONG... VERY LONG. Really reminds of a fellow GCN show: Remember When. Where It's about the "Good Ol' days," and such. Great for my morning runs, and ALSO great for bed time.

Podcastle: Haven't listened to it YET, but my friend Shane86 says it VERY funny, and full of the term "Cunt" good fun.

There's my first blog, see you around.
