Hi. Brand new here, as I'm sure you can tell. Been playing games as long as I can remember. Figured this might be a good place to meet some like-minded folks. I could drone on and on about myself, but instead I decided to talk about my 5 favorite games. I figure this will give everyone an idea of what I'm about when it comes to games.
5. Virtua Tennis, Dreamcast, 2000
I've always been a big fan of sports, and thus, a big fan of sports games. Virtua Tennis is easily one of my favorites. One of the few sports games I have enjoyed playing both alone and against others. The single player mode is challenging and lengthy enough to keep me interested and the game play is great to enjoy with friends.
4. Super Monaco GP, Sega Genesis, 1990
Here we go, another sports game. I promise this list will have some other genres. I had to include this because it is one of the first games that really wowed me with it's scope. The career mode, where you have to go from team to team to reach the top, was the first time I had really experienced a game where you could do a career. I'll admit that the game play leaves something to be desired as it is not realistic at all, but the hours I spent trying to reach Team Madonna (and the memory of the ridiculous passwords required to continue your game) mean I have to include this on the list.
3. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Playstation 2, 2004
I had to include at least one from the series, and since this is the one I have probably spent the most time on, I chose it. I have enjoyed all the games in this series, all the way back to PS1. This is the one that had the most features and things to kill time with. I consider the story here to be the best from the series as well.
2. Super Mario Brothers 3, NES, 1990
Widely considered one of the best Nintendo Games ever and who am I to argue? Innovative, fun to play, and with graphics that were the best you could expect from 8 bit (although that mattered little to me when I was playing this at 9 years old).
1. Dragon Warrior, NES, 1989
The first game I was addicted to. I remember many a nights being dragged away from it at bedtime. I still found plenty of time to play it, and eventually the Dragonlord was defeated and I could start all over again!
So, that's a list of my faves. Most who read this, if anyone does, probably couldn't care less, but if you do, great. I will try to come up with some interesting things to write about here and hope to find some like minded folks to have some nice conversation with.

Well done! This intro deserves...
Welcome to Destructoid! That's a helluva list you've got there.
Make yourself at home, cake is in the fridge next to the rape.
8 is awesome it's the quintessential of RPG with a medieval setting.
3 was extremely solid aswell probably one of the most complete RPG of the 8bit era
Welcome, have fun, and ignore the ones who'll undoubtedly give you a hard time at some point...mentioning no names.
@The GHost:
There's rape in the fridge now? man it's a good time to be joining the toid.
Wait a minute I see someone choosing San Andreas over Vice City? Say it isn't so!
oh and welcome!
Admit it Anus, San Andreas was better but it just lacked the spark of Vice City.
Give me an 80s rock version of San Andreas and I would be a happy man. That or just give me GTA 4.
Please?
Those birds are so cute I just had to make them my background!
Welcome to Dtoid.
I love gamers on dtoid. <3
Bah, I need to do one of these top 5 intro thread thingies, but I'm lazy. Also tits.
Anus, Vice City is a close second for me as far as GTA games go, but there is just so much more to do in San Andreas.
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog
and welcome!
Welcome! I would write something witty but seriously, it's been too short a weekend and I am tired. I'm sure glad you're here though!!
hey guy
whats up
Welcome! Don't suck! (though I seriously doubt you will!)
Welcome aboard.
@McSnow & iamcuriouslyyellow:
Blasphemers! *sticks fingers in ears* la la lalalala!
ahem... where was I?... Don't get me wrong I liked San Andreas but you got to admit it was a pain in the arse to trek all the way around the state to start the mission only to trek it all the way to the middle of no where to do it, and if you botch it up you got to trek it all the way back. I think it was just too big and there was just too much to do that it felt like it lacked focus.
Vice City had better story and characters as well
Tommy Vercetti > CJ
Actually forget both of them and let's all enjoy digital buttsecks in GTA4 <3 <3 <3
Who keeps calling me...oh...blah. Nevermind. Welcome to teh toid meng.
Anus, I guess I have to agree with you there. The long trips around the country side could be very frustrating. Still, it's my fave. I just felt it has more to offer than Vice City. There are so many more vehicles and new and interesting side missions. I love some Vice City too though. Maybe I should have a 3 and a 3a on the list to solve the problem.
