Wartech: (random japanese)
i eat GUTS | 3:49 PM on 01.02.2008 5 comments

Recently at EBgames, I made a awesome purchase of a game called Wartech. I took it off the shelf and took a look on the back. I saw mechs and bullets all over the screenshots and fell in love. What made the deal sweeter was that it was only 10$! I asked the guy behind the counter about the game and he thought it would be some gundam-esque game. WRONG sucka! it's raiden on f-ing crack. After completing my task at the mall, I headed over to my friends house to play wartech and hang out around 4:20. I bought my friend a copy to match up with me on Xbox live.

As I started the game, I was greeted with a lolita japanese voice talking about the world of wartech. It's the future, there are mechs, there are bad guys, and there are bad guys with mechs. The game's menus and title screen are easy to look at and navigate. It's clean 'hip' look keeps it fresh. I started a story game without reading the manual and checking out the options. Each character has their own plot line and special mech. When the battle starts, I'm greeted by another mech shooting lasers, balls, and missles. As I progressed through out the game, slaughtering helpless fools who cross my path, I noticed that the cpu was able to pull off 'special' moves. This made the game even sweeter for the pillaging. I looked at the manual and saw that there were moves where I had to "back back forward b" to execute. Damn thats friggin sweet. I have yet to play someone on xbox live...but I'm pretty sure I'll rock'em. I mean come on...I beat ikaruga with 1 credit.
