Mirror's Edge's story never managed to pull through, but the setting and exhilarating gameplay always kept me coming back until the end.
i swear, some of my favorite times in the game were just staring off at the city from atop a high building during a lull in the action. you can hear the wind gently blow and sometimes hear cars go by down below.
but then there's always that striking landscape of pristine white as far as the eye can see. once the scope of the magnitude of actually achieving that kind of sterility (irl) hits you, you quickly realize it's quite breathtaking that this world even exists.

Thanks for commenting! When I started, I thought I'd have more to say on the subject haha. I agree with what you said about the story, even though I said it was one of the factors that made me like it. I guess I mean the story they didn't tell... the backstory, I suppose. The actual in-game story is basically "save teh sistar!" so not very interesting.
It's one of those strange games, where I'd put the gameplay last behind the art and music, but I still love it as a game. Funny because I dislike FFXIII for the same reason.
