Looks like at launch you have to buy all the instruments at once. You get the game, guitar, mic, and drum kit for $169.99.
For that price I suggest you get a PS2 or a DS...
Or if you already have a PS2 and you were willing to spend $30 more than the price for Rock Band you could get Guitar Hero Ultimate Bundle-PS2 which includes a wired guitar Guitar Hero (47 songs), Guitar Hero II (64 songs) and Guitar Hero: Rocks the Eighties (30 songs) for $149.97 and get Guitar Hero III (71 songs) separately for $49.99. That's 212 songs for all the GH games!!! Sounds like a way better deal than Rock Bands 58 songs.
Don't buy Rock Band! It's total BS that you have to buy the game bundled with ALL the instruments at launch. Even if you didn't have the Guitar Hero games are a way better deal!
...and no I don't care who originally created Guitar Hero. Harmonix rules but EA is F'ing this up!
As soon as the new year rolls around, you will be able to pick up a different package and an extra guitar.
...and then when your drummer gets mad at the lead guitar for sucking he can leave the band and take his drums with him.
Then he could look in the paper and go to auditions with other bands.
Unless you live with three other people or are BFF with three other people the package is retarded!
The arrangement is simple, they give me money, they get to play, the things are mine =).
Or wait, no, I wanted all of the instruments anyway, and $170 is an excellent price for everything. I was just confused a second ago.
If you read my blog you obviously have to boycott as my opinions are now yours too.
I have a feeling Unless you and you friends are really into Rock Band as a whole this game is going to loose it's luster quicker than I threw my Donkey Konga drums in the closet.
