Games if your guy doesn't have them already would probably be Gears of War, Left 4 Dead or possibly Fallout 3. It always depends on their taste, so what could work for most guys might not necessarily reflect his taste. Look through his games library to get a general idea of what he likes.

Specifically? Left 4 Dead is a must-have, for everyone in the world, because it's awesome. I can't say I personally want Gears 2, but I imagine most guys would, because of RAWR RAWR SHOOT GRRR PENIS. And if he has a brain, most guys would probably enjoy either Fable 2 or Fallout 3. And everyone needs to own The Orange Box.
Otherwise, I don't know. I'm not getting much of anything for Christmas, so it's hard to say. :(
