Just saw this video when I logged into my e-mail and I thought I'd share it.
http://tech.msn.com/guides/collectthis.aspx?GT1=40000
Pretty much from what I've gathered, it's a running series called Collect This, where these two toolbags analyze different forms of collection.
The dude who is the focus of this mini-show (not a long run-time) resides in the great state of New Jersey, unfortunately in the northern part (scumbag).
He looks kinda old, very dirty, and assuming by the shot of his room, still living with his parents.
He has a collection of over 30,000 games.
What a dork.
Enjoy.
No they can't, except for Mr.Destructoid who deals in Straight Fuckin!
can't express how much fail is in this blog ;p
The man the interviewe was Joe. The owner of Digit Press, a very famous game store that's been in a few interviews. He owns his own house of course, and could probably buy yours ;p
Everyone collects something assface, and he's just far better at it then most other people. Owning his own store helps his collection grow of course (he can take what he wants at whim ;p) How's he look dirty? Cause he has a beard?...
Try at least googling the name before you spout crap out of your shithole ;p
Also why would you say "enjoy" right after you thoroughly trashed the show trying, trying to paint it in the lamest possible light. You didn't even say it was funny in a sad sort of way :| Sure the fuckers of collectthis are doin it for the money, but Joe there. Owns his own amazing game store, not only has his dream job (and job of many others ;p) for a living but he owns the motherfucker to.
And then there's you, trolling about shit on dtoid to make your e-peen bigger probably gonna end up in a job your not gonna like too much (if at all) and probably not having enough time to do what you love ;p
Wonder who the loser is :o
Nah, I just thought it was an interesting video because he has such a massive game collection, which is videogame related.
You're right though, I posted on a whim and didn't bother googling the name even though Digital Press was a familiar name to me. This is pretty much a fail blog, no excuses whatsoever.
I'm not gonna dodge your other points. To me he seemed a bit dirty just because he looked sloppy in his appearance. Nothing to do with the beard whatsoever, those are manly as hell.
The enjoy was directed toward the video itself, not Joe. The toolbags are what I was referring to.
So anyway, you're pretty much right on a lot of points, he seems to be doing something he loves and it's wrong of me to criticize it. It was a bad lapse in judgement.
You win, well played sir.
wow man enough of you to say that ;p Soz I dun usually smack but Joe is definately a very nice guy (had my ps3 fixed at digitpress! not by joe himself but) I frequent the DP forums and he seems a very reasonable sort ;p
Now if you tell me how to edit posts I'll remove my spiteful comments :P
You can't edit posts and I don't care too much, you have no reason to edit it, I made a mistake.
I'm not too far from Clifton, so maybe I'll make a daytrip up to the shithole that is North Jersey (I'll stand by that comment) and check his place out. Maybe I'll be able to nab something nice. Though I am going to expect ridiculous prices.
I'm sure Joe is a nice guy, he came off as harmless.
We're all dorks whether or not it's intended as offensive or not.
they're not ridiculous prices but not steal prices ;p They're priced fairly ;p Took me $35 to repair my ps3 (+ ship both ways)
Don't expect to get Mario Bros 3 at like $1 or anything but ;p And if your looking for classic games the digitpress forums are a great place, I've basically stopped dealing over ebay because of the hassle and money I save over digitpress. The best time to go would be during a NAVA Metting.
Sorta like a NARP/Swap meet ;p
Here's some past nava stuff too look at ;p
(bring money cause everyone brings stuff to trade/sell ;p, ok not everyone but if u want stuff bring monies :P)
April nava: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=115277
July nava: AVGN was there: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119038
They're once a month ;p
Sounds good, maybe I'll check out a NAVA event if it works around my schedule, otherwise I'd still wanna check the place out.
I don't need Mario Bros. 3, I already have about a few copies for some unknown reason.
To the forums I go!
OK, maybe I am a bit sloppy.
Also, i never want to see the Keno Bothers again.
It's been done. Well, attempted:

Also wondering why you'd say something like that on a public message board. Even if it's meant to be funny don't you think you'd be the first suspect if someone tried it tonight?
Fair enough. It was pretty ignorant of me to jump at you like that anyway. If you are sloppy, I'll blame it on that North Jersey grime.
Ew, north jersey.
Hopefully I'll see you soon. Save me a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for $1.99
K thx Bai!
If you're concerned about the Jersey dirt level going on in his establishment, I'm going to rate it at NEAR-ZERO.
The Digital Press store is one of the cleanest, most well-organized new/used game stores I've seen in the north-east US, as well as parts of the UK and Europe that I've traveled.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being total filth), I've got to say that the filthiest, scummiest used game store (as well as the most retardedly over-priced) I've ever been to has got to be VideoGamesNYC in the East Village, which I give a score of 10. Just stepping in there makes me want to shower like a rape-victim on a Lifetime original movie (all curled up in the corner of the shower crying)
...conversely, I'd eat off the floor of the DP store ... and during NAVA meetings, occasionally I drop a chip, and I do just that.
You really should take a trip out, it's totally worth it, and NAVA meetings are like a freakin' classic gamer party from noon till midnight the last Saturday of every month.
