Much to my family's disappointment after I got my Psych degree I moved into journalism. At the moment I do games and anime reviews for a free magazine in Sydney which no one reads. I also work casually as a research assistant but that isn't interesting.
I've been gaming since I was a wee lad and as I recall the first console I had was the Atari 2600. Pitfall 2 on the C64 amazed me and at the time I thought it was the deepest games would ever get.

I'm a big SRPG/RPG fan but I also have an itchy trigger finger so FPSes are on the cards to.
I have a weak spot for survival horror but I suck at them. The newer survival horror action games (RE4) are right up my alley.
Also big fan of Clover studios and Capcom in general.

Right now I've got a 360, Ps2, Saturn, cube(for imports) and Wii set up and I've also got a PSP & DS.

I'd heard so much about this game so I picked it up two years back. I'm a huge fan of cult hits so I figured I would like it however I just don't get the attraction to this game. One guy said that in order to like it you have to want to be a warrior protecting someone who needs protecting, so I guess that isn't me.
I liked Shadow Of the Colossus (not to the extent most people did but it was a good game.).

Not who has to protect people anyway. Urrgggh, so many bad memories of wing commander missions where you have to protect freighters.

I liked Ico. The graphics were beautiful, the story line was different and beating black things with a stick is fun (oh man.. that sounds wrong...).

It's opinion tbh. I have SotC but I haven't completed it. I just never got round to finishing it. I really should >.<;;

I just beat SotC the other day, and now I feel obliged to buy this game. Fucking gamespot doesn't seem to even have a used version of it. Well now I have to check again, even though I don't have money. Thanks guys, you're making visit gamespot when I don't have to.

Loved Shadow of the Colossus.
Bought Ico off eBay for too much money because of love for Shadow of the Colossus.
Didn't love Ico.

@liam2015: they re-released it just before SotC came out so there should be loads of copies floating around for virtually nothing! It's the boxed version that's tough to come by cheaply.

I liked Ico, I wasn't mad about it, but it played well.

If I could do it all over, I'd play Ico before before SotC (I played SotC first and loved it). Ico was great, but the game play and style progresses so much in SotC that Ico felt like more of a prototype.

I loved Ico. Maybe is not a very good game with a great gameplay, but it has a certain charm that definitely makes it special.

SotC didn't do much for me. I know it's not Ico, but it's the same situation. I hear nothing but good things and yet I'm not impressed.

I know RockVillian likes it though. After taking a hit from his bowl no less.

I liked Ico a lot more than Shadow of the Collosus. :P

Maybe that's just because there was this guy I knew that really liked SotC and that made me hate it, because I hated him so much.

I enjoyed Ico. At the time, it was a nice twist on adventure puzzle games. I really appreciated the less is more vibe from it, like with the fighting. Also, the end boss fight felt really special, like something out of those slightly offbeat animated fantasy movies from the 80's (reminds me vaguely of Last Unicorn for no real good reason, I think)

my copy of ico is screwed up.
The scene after (kinda SPOILERS) where you fall of the bridge right when you think you've left the castle, freezes every time I get there.

As you can see by my avatar, that didn't make me a very happy camper and I'm thinking about getting another copy, or testing the disc on another PS2.
