So got a few comments about writing a real blog. Makes sense to me. I planned on it but I wanted to toss something up as my buddy made me sign up for this site right away. Anyway, enough excuses, time to blog.
My pal Alphador (not sure if that is his handle on here though) had me sign up here as he is a huge Dtoid fan, he listens to the podcasts and reads the site all the time and everything. He convinced me to start checking out the site and sign up and everything just a few days ago, so here I am. The site seems cool so far and I heard one retroforce go podcast about Shoot em ups that was awesome.
Well that is why I am here, In my spare time I pretend to be a writer and run a website called Game Music 4 All, which I think Dale North linked to once in one of his Sound Card articles, which got me a lot of hits and was really awesome of him. The website is a news site for video game inspired music. You got your nerdcore hip hop, your chiptunes, and your OCR music and VG rock bands. All that good stuff. Its a fun site to work on and lets me hear tons of awesome music. I also do a VG music podcast with my pal from England and it's called Letters VS Numbers Podcast.
Now to talk about my gaming cred. I probably don't have any. I suck at most games, and the ones I am really good at no one even plays (Puyo Pop, Meteos, Project Justice, etc)! So yeah, that is out the window, I know a lot about gaming history since I am a bit over obsessive about that. I have read a bunch of books about video game history, not to mention randomly searching wikipedia for this and that random fact. I strongly suggest folks check out the book Power Up by Chris Kohler, it is seriously a great read, I have probably read it a couple times over now.
What else is there? My favorite genres are all the unpopular ones like Puzzle games, Shoot em ups, platformers, and racing games, but only arcade style racers, not much of a fan of things like PGR and Gran Turismo. I totally sucks at FPS games too, so if you challenge me to one expect to completely kick my ass. FPS games also give me a headache, which sucks. No other type of video game does that to me so it is weird, I am pretty sure it is the whole looking up and down thing though, because Doom on SNES didnt give me a headache either. Anyway enough about how stupid my body is about playing video games.
I guess that is really it. I should mention though that Chromelodeon is an amazing chiptune band and folks should really check out their album. They broke up two years ago this month and their final album is out for free over at iimusic.net for anyone interested.

Again, welcome!
I kid.
Welcome to Dtoid.
Use pictures, Photoshop if you can.
Also you think you're hot at Puyo Puyo? You ain't got nothing on me.
No offense, but people like you depress me more than anything. If you consider that a wall of text then for your sake I hope you never glance at any of my entries, which normally clock in at longer than this, or happen to stumble across a book, since the sheer amount of wordage may cause your brain to implode. For example, this blog post contains 519 words, an average book might contain 48-50k. That's really not that much even. Take for example Order of the Phoenix, the longest of the Harry Potter books, due to the series' popularity I'll assume you have some basic knowledge of it (perhaps through the movies?), even though you clearly would not be able to handle a book. Order of the Phoenix has 257,045 words. That is approaching 500x the amount of words in this blog. Actually, by now this comment has probably passed the length of what you're willing to read so I'll move on to commenting on the actual content of the blog.
Rant aside. . .
Welcome genoboost. Unfortunately what people say is true, you can write your little heart out, but without some visuals many people won't bother to read it.
Meteos rocks, I love that series.
Do you play Tetris Attack/Puzzle League? Because that series rules the genre for me.
