I just finished watching the 2 1/2 hour long film, "The Good Shepard". As a history buff I really enjoyed this movie as it attempts to accurately portray the life of C.I.A. agent Edward Wilson, played by Matt Damon. The story traces Wilson's life, from his initiation into the secretive Skull & Bones Society at Yale through the Bay of Pigs invasion. Throughout the film Wilson's loyalty to his country is tested in the most dire of circumstances. Matt Damon delivers a truer-than-life performance realizing Wilson as a confused, lonely man whose job is his only source of identity.

De Niro's depiction of the C.I.A.'s methods makes it impossible for one not to question their legitmacy and humanity especially in these times. As one KGB agent remarks to Wilson, "Without wars what would we do for a living?"

Highly recommended especially for history buffs, albeit a bit on the long side.

When your a Jew, like myself, theres little to look forward to on December 24th/25th. Nothing is open and theres nowhere to go.

But there is one thing to do- video games. So stuck with just me and my Wii (I foolishly left the 360 at the dorm- don't ask) its time to throw my hands around.

O yeah the perfect opportunity to play all those games I've yet to tackle and catch up on some oldies I missed in the last generation, namely, Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, and RE:4.
