Final Fantasy VII remake teaser site actually!? (shortblog)

Hey, it's another teaser site put up by Square-Enix! SHOCKER! This time wielding nothing but the roman numeral "VII" accompanied by the word "DAYS". What could this mean? Well, it's OBVIOUSLY the remake of Final Fantasy VII that was confirmed back at E3 2006. What else could it be right?

But in all seriousness, I actually think this could actually be be it this time seriously. Some people are not really that fond of the idea of a FFVII reamke because of their love of the original game and don't want their original vision of the game to be tarnished. But I'm all for a remake, I got no problem with that shit, son.

I guess we'll all find out in about 9 and a half hours anyway, well, unless SE just decides to do that thing where another countdown unlocks after it hits 0. Douchebags.

Maybe the "VII" is the days and it is actually a remake of FF:9v .36.38????????????????? Therefor we have 12 days left until the make a remix of FF:9

Well, I think out of all the 3D final fantasys, FF7 could use a more consistent art design.

When I go to the site, its VI days and 15 hours. So it aint VII, specifically, and theres another week to go.

First of all what Triplezero said but its kinda too late I already had VII Nerdgasms...

Please...OH please..I'm all for it. Theres no way anything could tarnish the original since the original is so awesome so bring it ON.
Now if it was on both pc and playstation i would freak out. since the original was on pc too..Also i dont have a ps3......lol...

Please just be a solid, well crafted, and spectacular remake of Final Fantasy 7 for PS3. Keeping everything intact while taking advantage of Crystal Tools and FF13's tech/features. As well as adding some content here and there as well as changing stuff to fit with the current state of FF7's story (like Crisis Core stuff).

I'd think it would be really overblown and it'd be far more interesting to put that money towards a new IP rather than remaking one that's perfectly fine to play again as it is.

I would of course still buy it.

A lot of Final Fantasy games are not even out yet but i would love to see a remake of 7 sadly like others said its probably a psp game.

Not that I want to shoot you down, I'd quite enjoy a good remake (not just of VII, either). Whatever it is though, I like the artwork, so I'm optimistic :P.

Never was a fan of 7, myself. Just couldn't get in to it. That said, it would be pretty cool of SE to produce a remake. I'm sure it would make a lot of people happy.

I'd say this is in regards to the rumoured PSP3000 that will be bundled with FFVII... hmmm but i can't seem to find the source of that info so it is entirely possible i made it up. I'm sure i saw it on Joystiq though.

It's a shame, a full HD remake of FFVII would've probably been the push for me to buy a PS3

I'm also going to use this time to poke at Brad Rice, or fellow Dtoid writer who said "Square is done with FFVII for good" a few months back in a very long winded article. It was very well written, but I found it hilarious to entertain the notion that in this economy, Square would really give up the biggest cash cow they had.

Anyway, I really hope it's a remake. If it does REALLY well. As in, best game sales ever, can we have for an FF8 REMAKE?! I sincerely hope so. WHAT ABOUT AN FF4 remake, other than the DS? I guy can dream eh?!
