Crazy amounts of excitement today. Pretty much feel like getting in a room with a bunch of people and doing one of those ridiculous "hold hands and jump around while screaming" moves.
I don't own a Wii... yet the news still surprised me. I'm hoping Other M will be good enough to convince me to purchase a Wii. Too bad there wasn't any news on Zelda.
Super excited! =) I thought much the same, Garison. Figured we wouldn't be playing SMG 2 until at least December, maybe November! So, yes, this is amazing news! Also, Metroid: Other M.

I was thinking the same thing Garison. I'm not huge on 3D Mario, but I'm so stoked for Metroid.
Additionally, Monster Hunter 3 in April with free online and Megaman 10/Cave Story for March. I'm really going to have to get that SD card.
Also, this gives me hope that Nintendo will announce Zelda at E3 for a Holiday release.

Also, the Wii version of PoP: Forgotten Sands will feature an SNES copy of PoP hidden within!... no? Still, great news regarding Mario, Metroid, and Sin and Punishment!
Nerdgasmed at least four times - probably more - between the hours of 6 and 7pm. It's been a great evening and I can't wait to read the coming impressions of Other M! I need to know what that's all about!
Only downer is whenever these games are coming to Europe. Galaxy 2 is three days before my birthday in America, so a release around that time would be perfect for me! I actually forced myself to wait for Galaxy 1 until Christmas in 2007, just so I'd have that "special" Mario feeling come the big day. I was not disappointed!

I thought the same thing as you did. I expected both games to come out in November or something. Iwas really surprised to see I'll be getting to play them so soon! 2010 barely started and the Wii already has NMH2, Tatsunoko, Mario and Metroid. Good year!

actually recently Nintendo has been throwing trailers out and then bringing the game out less than a year later. The reason Twilight Princess had such a delay was because they changed the development mid game to be compatible with the wii. That added to it.
Agreed, a good day overall, still i sorely missed any Zelda info, even a confirmation that they'd release some info on E3 would have done it for me.

Yeah, I'm pretty much 100% positive (I think) that Nintendo will have a shit load of Zelda info at E3. They have to save SOMETHING for the big press conference, right?
