The first time I finished Metal Gear Solid 4, i was awestruck. Everything about the game was
(almost) perfect. From the engrossing worlds, to the Hollywood style cutscenes that could be
taken directly out of a triple-A movie. The developers just kept me completely drawn into the
game, and even when I wasn't playing it, I was playing it in my head. After the last cutscene,
I just sat on my bed feeling totally satisfied with the entire experience that the game gave
me. But there was one tiny thing that I didn't like about it...

Since I have never owned a Sony console before (until a few weeks ago), I have never been
able to play the Metal Gear Solid series. So the story made absolutely no sense. Don't get me
wrong, I loved the story line of MGS4, and i watched every cutscene, eyes glued to the screen
and creamed my undies when i saw the fight with Raiden and some other guy in some place.
They just threw all these characters at me so fast. Liquid, Raiden, Vamp, Major Zero, Big
Boss, The Boss, Grey Fox, Liquid Ocelot, Naomi, and so many more I can't even begin to
count.

Maybe I would have liked it better if they would have had a mode for younger people who
have never played the old games, then I would have liked it better. The game deserves every
ounce of praise it gets, and I completely get why everyone loves it so much. It was just so
confusing to try and follow everything happening. I guess the only thing to do now is to go out
and buy the MGS Essential Collection. Sigh...
