The internal floppy drive is
actually internal. I have no use for one but my motherboard refused to boot without a floppy drive connected. I was too lazy to pop the panels out and screw the thing in so it's hanging out, hidden from view.
I recently noticed a bulging capacitor on the mediocre, accidentally purchased (long story) eVGA 133-K8-NF43-AX, which looks to have the potential to give me
lead poisoning, hurray! I'm in the market for one of the high quality motherboards from DFI, ASUS, or a couple others that I regret not having gotten in the first place.
There's an eVGA 7800GTX in there, which ended up being a huge waste of money. I put the system together to play Doom 3 on the nicest settings I could manage without spending $4K but after that, I haven't played anything newer or demanding than Psychonauts. I'm still catching up on all the great PC gaming that I missed since 2000.
Despite the fact that an X2 4400+, 2GB of memory, and relatively mighty graphics capability are sufficient machine for my current needs, I'm getting that upgrade itch. Afterall, why aren't I playing Bioshock or Crysis on max settings?
