so like many a dtoiders i got my hands on rock band yesterday. i'm not a perorder kinda guy, i like to get up, make a few phone calls and try my luck.

during my rounds yesterday, i called FYE who happened to have the 360 bundle in stock, so off i went.

i got there and it rang up for $199.99 i thought this was after tax. nope. $199.99 before tax, if you check their lousy website, you'll see that you have to be a registered FYE member to PAY RETAIL, you don't even get a discount for registering, you just don't get shafted. jeesus. whats that all about?

i don't really care, payin an extra 30 is better than payin an extra 100+ to ebay scalpers. but i will not give them any more business, and i advise you do the same.

now that the complaining is outta the way, i played for about 2 hours last night some friends, and we loved it. we played the world tour and the band quick play. everyone was shy about singing at first, but after the first song, that went right out the window. drumming is fun, and while the fender will take some getting used to (i still play GH on the ps2 with the SG's), i am really liking the more sensitive strum bar for the faster sections. i don't like the buttons, the indicator on the middle button is too small and my fingers keep getting lost.

drumming is a lot of fun, my kit is kinda fucked out the box, one of the clamps that hold everything in place is busted, but i guess when the buzz dies down i'll send it back for replacement.

hands down the best social experience in gaming ever.
