Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
KICKFLIP TO INDY HOLY SHIT
Skateboarding is so damn beautiful.
Tomorrow night cannot come soon enough.
So when EA sent me our review copy of the sequel last week, I was excited to dig in, and to hunker down and really get a grasp on the controls. At first, I was feeling it, taking on simple tasks like "oh hi ollie!" or "oh hi kickflip!" that the game threw at me. Then I hit a wall. On the wall, in spraypaint, was written: you're fucking awful at this game, and even the most simple action (like grinding these "books" to own this spot) will seem impossible and frustrating.
So, a day or two after trying to play the game, I gave up. I was more frustrated than anything else. I found someone else on the staff who review the game, because I was actually angry at the title -- not a good way to review a game. I don't think it's bad, I just don't think it's for me and my short attention span.
