About Me
People go on about the Dreamcast being great, which it is and was.

Why didn't people buy it? Because originally, it didn't have many exclusive games, It was free online, a majority of the early games Sega released were rubbish, it was apparently harder to develop for and it was more expensive than the other consoles at the time off offering, just when everything started moving smoothly, everyone abandoned it.
Therefore no-one had hope for the thing and abandoned it without even giving it a fair look.

Whilst the gaming public lashed out at it as much as possible. So ended Sega's consoles.
Its happened before and we look back at it being wrong.
See where I'm going here?
Don't bite the hand that originally fed you and the friend that served you well.
Let the money hungry consume your money for every commodity, games, charge units, early deaths of systems, subscription fees instead of paying one lump sum for security and life.

Some peoples views of non-equality and not noticing the cracks in the pavement annoyed me.

Since peoples voices and opinions mean so little on the internet once ridiculing the underdog and those defending undercover fanboys who go 'unnoticed' is a crime. Underneath popular demand and also under my own decision; I'm off.

I've had enough of the 40% of you in your little world of people not allowing companies to risk and do something different or original and it being perfectly fine for people to directly rip off several consoles onto another like a layer of badly pasted wallpaper. Its a shame, because most of you are fine, easy to get along with and most importantly, open minded and remember the good old days before the internet ruined social gaming and companies used players as pawns to ridicule each other.

This site has even encouraged me to get a Wii after many years, understanding that a videogame isn't just a tool for competition. Innovation is the way forward, a sequel of the same old thing means the industry to the public eyes, is going no where.

Companies are literally forcing respectable developers when to release their game, despite having an already well put together ruse. People are giving bags of cash behind scenes, people are stealing other peoples originality with the aim for sales whilst completely embarrassing their selves and rebranding, stealing mascots for money etc. This is the glorious generation we are witnessing.

I understand why Nintendo are winning, they crave originality, they encourage it, whilst others plainly don't, they are open for all ages and have child friendly games that keep 'hardcore gamers' comments away from them. The other 'adapts', they adapt so much, that theres a certain point they're mimicking the machine.

Seems 'hardcore gaming' means to disengage any possible originality and keep playing the same thing, not looking at the finer details.

I'll see you once things have changed.

If not, I guess I'll be having a life and a successful career.

The PS3 died today...
freker | 3:06 PM on 07.15.2008 25 comments

And grew into something far greater.
Debatable, but in a non-hyperactive way, entertaining way; Sony just stole E3.

1. A live announced store update (Dashboard could of had this)
2. Third Party developers praising the PS3's technology
3. Several stonkingly good titles for Blue-Ray
4. A sequel for Ratchet and Clank Future, Probably to become the best DLC game ever
5. The best damn barchart in the history of economics
6. Online Community to the max
7. Home looks amazing
8. Resistance 2 re-inacting Cloverfield
9. New PSP value packs
10. Even more amazing looking PSP games
11. A third person shooter Resistance for PSP
12. New PS3 model same price
13. A hell of a promising future WITHOUT the exclusivity of Final Fantasy 'the number this point is'

The PS3 no longer has it crutches and it didn't fall down.

Well done Sony. I knew I was right to stick with you through the hard and the cold.

Sorry about the lack of pictures in this post, whatever they could of been, they probably wouldn't be as funny as the look on peoples faces once they realised Microsoft's small victory with Final Fantasy and those who condemned the PS3 dead because of it...wasn't the big picture.

Stole E3? Wouldn't go that far. Promising stuff anyway.

"8. Resistance 2 re-inacting Cloverfield "

That's so inaccurate, I don't know how to correct it.

Also, pushups.

i didn't think sony's briefing wasn't anything to gloat over nothing of what they shared got me excited. everything was expected. nintendo's conference sucked and sony and ms were decent at best.

Hmmm. I could argue almost every point on there, but I won't. Time will tell.

Given the fact that they were up against the wall, I think they made a somewhat good recovery. With inFamous being amazing, DCU, while not really appealing to me as a Marvel fan, could be cool, MAG + 256 (!!!) players has GREAT potential, Little Big Planet being the coolest thing in the history of mankind, God of War 3 CG trailers looking awesome, AND a movie rental/download service that has PSP functionality (despite this already being announced yesterday), I think Sony definitely didn't limp out of E3 the way I was worried they would have. Sure, I would have enjoyed less shooters, more PaRappa, I'm super happy.

I am, however, pissed over the fact that they still hold on to the past a la the PS2. Imagine what we could have if they put all focus towards the PS3 (and to a lesser extent, the PSP)?!

@JUSTICE
Stole the console company specific conferences of E3, mainly only showing first party exclusive in-house developed titles, then.

@GYNECOLOGIST COBRA
Well, it wasn't exactly Cloverfield, but it was the biggest freaking well modeled videogame monster since I got to the end of Serious Sam:FE. Looked like a nice sequel to the original game damn to boot.

@Video Cognito

I agree that it may be better served if they concentrated on PS3, but that also is encouraging because my PS3 will probably be around for awhile.

I liked the LBP chart thing they did but they could have picked a better presenter because Jack didn't seem to be really into it, his voice made me sleepy, not a big resistance fan, psp is not really a good gaming machine. Now if they would have shown GOW3 in action instead of a lame pre-rendered crap and maybe some more actual gameplay and someone being happy and not sounding like a robot.

@SOOPAFLY TNT
Absolutely; to have 3 individual same branded consoles being marketed the same gen by the same core company is actually quite a feat. Besides its probably making up the money the PS3 is losing because of manufacture costs.

@RONBURGANDY2010
Just couldn't help it with this one it was too good to resist after all that stupid FF "The ps3 is dead/I hate Sony/Sony have dropped the ball/Obligatory dildo in immature non-witty article" posts yesterday.

@Heretic:
Therefore against seemingly impossible opposition, Sony 'won' because you pretty much just said "You want a PS3" yourself, despite the fact about 2 weeks ago tons of them bricked and the top touted exclusive has just been made multiplatform but Sony still managed to cause some next-gen 'wow'.
I'd say thats pretty much a turnaround from yesterday; and a 'win' in perspective.

MS lost e3. Sony won. Goddamn. MS is treading into scary waters here. They're gonna try to muscle in on Wii's market and Sony is gonna sneak up and bite them in the balls and take their spot. I predict that in two years, if MS decides to walk down the casual path, Sony will come close to taking some of their market share. They may not lead, but MS will not have the commanding market share that they could have had.

For the record, Cloverfield was an extremely disappointing movie. But Resistance 2 is looking so so awesome.

Fun fact: that scene was designed before anybody on the Resistance 2 could see Cloverfield.

I agree Microsoft is trying too hard to be like Nintendo. But im a little disappointed with the fact that i bought a 40GB PS3 this year and now they are releasing an 80GB version for the same price. But i guess that doesn't matter, because i don't care about who had the best of whatever im looking forward to Gears of War 2, R.E. 5, and resistance and GOD of War 3 And Bioshock i already beat it for the 360 but it has new content so i hear so it might be worth getting. And Nintendo hasn't made anything that catches my attention although wario might be fun. I don't know about everyone else but this Year E3 isn't a big deal to me i used to watch it every year but it is becoming less of a big deal to me.
