BlazBlue Collector's Edition!
flaming burrito | 8:03 PM on 04.29.2009 18 comments

The BlazBlue collector's edition will contain an, a 2 disk soundtrack, and a bonus disc containing tutorials from the experts at Dustloop.com and Shoryuken.com. The video walks you through each character, showing you the ins and outs and delivering special tips for getting the most out of your favorite fighters.

And the best part? The price is $59.99, the same price as the regular edition. So if you were planning on getting this game there is no reason not to get the collector's edition. You can preorder it at gamestop's website and also get a free artbook. (http://www.gamestop.com/browse/ProductMerch.aspx?groupid=444)

It's good to see that some game companies are looking out for the regular people. Indications are that it will be available only for a limited time, so go preorder! It really seems like it is the great reemergence of fighting games, with SF4, BlazBlue, and KOF12 coming out.

BlazBlue will be released on June 30th for both PS3 and 360. No idea when you Europeans will get it though, but I figure that's par for the course for you guys. Sorry, it must suck being European.

flaming burrito | 10:20 PM on 04.27.2009 18 comments

After nearly 2 months of desperately calling my local gamestop every other day. Hooray. So how did I do it?

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?Product_ID=73049

Said that I there were 3 Gamestops that had them in stock, so I called each one and lo and behold, one of them had one! So I got in my car and booked it to a random Gamestop 20 miles away from my house and purchased one! Yay me!

flaming burrito | 8:47 PM on 03.28.2009 7 comments

EA has posted a zip of the Henry Hatsworth Soundtrack over at http://www.henryhatsworth.com in the downloads section. The soundtrack consists of 36 tracks, all tagged properly with album art at 320kbps (with the exception of one song at 128kbps oddly enough).

I've been listening to it all day and I've been blown away by how varied the music is, and I totally dug how it sophisticated it made me feel. Go download away!

Pokemon Creator: No Pokemon MMO For You
flaming burrito | 11:04 AM on 03.23.2009 13 comments

In an interview over at What They Play, Pokemon series director Junichi Masuda responded to questions about a Pokemon MMO saying, "At this point, we're not thinking of going in that direction. Trading is a core concept of Pokémon. So when you're trading, you meet with a friend and decide which one you want and which one they want. I would like to emphasize real-world communication. You don't see each other online."

Check out the rest of the interview here.
